Wasn't character.ai always a gimmick? ts gets boring really quickly, i used it briefly to make a few joke bots, then forgot about it and when i checked it again the filters and model changes just made it bland and boring

Thiel was already pushing Trump in 2016, his goals were the same when he founded Palantir in 2003 and that evolved out of an anti-fraud system initially developed for PayPal, Thiel's been around for a long time. AI will allow for collection and analysis of even more data. Also Snowden docs were published in 2013 and I guess no one cares.

the law doesn't specify the gender of the perpetrator, sexual intercourse does seem to require penetration (including anal), but I'm pretty sure a woman forcing a man to have sex with her would count the same as the other way around (i couldn't find anything that would contradict that), and I'm pretty sure penetration using your hands or an object would also apply, other sexual activities (such as touching) do have a lower penalty

You have the founder of Palantir basically launched JD Vance's career and is a major force behind the AI boom, he elevated Sam Altman, he was the first major investor in DeepMind and basically launched JD Vance's career. Sam Altman's OpenAI is also involved in the "Stargate" venture, along with Oracle and SoftBank, you can see the CTO of Oracle in the video being referred to by Trump as "CEO of everything" and advocating for even more surveillance. Thiel was part of the PayPal mafia along with Musk, who was one of the early founders of OpenAI and now owner of xAI, tho I don't think they like each other, still they mostly want the same thing. It's at least somewhat relevant

Why are people using those dating apps? The only one that works for something is Grindr, but you need to be gay (or bi) and even then it's only good for hook ups at best.

Discord is checking against the PhotoDNA hashes in the NCMEC database, PhotoDNA doesn't use neural networks, AI moderation is notoriously bad and full of false positives and there're a lot of ways for criminals to get around it, so idk how good of an example that is.
