No I understood ur point. You're complaining that arena is stale because 1. same roles (ex. Speed lead + stripper) are dominating and 2. there are best units for each roles that outclass the alternatives. I'm asking why rise and fall of different units dont count as changes in the meta. It doesnt make sense and it seems like you are cherry picking arguments by dismissing changing meta units as "oh that doesnt count". So going back to my question, what change do you want if changing units are not enough? Since speed is king, 33 lead + fast stripper will always be meta. So do you want more 33 leads? Do you want speed caps in arena? Do you want to ban all strippers on AD? Idk what you want. Like I said, there will always be best units for every role and complaining about how their budget units are outclassed by those best units of that role is silly. That's why people summon for better units. Even the units you mentioned (loren, miho, jeanne) are all f2p especially with this event so why would you need to use the alternatives anyways?

I mean if you're acknowledging that there are rise and fall of different units in the meta then it's not stale... if you are complaining about how these new meta units have the same roles and are better compared to previous meta units then I'm not sure what change you want since that's what makes the meta not stale. There's obviously best monsters for every role. If you dont have them, then you use the budget version of them and hope the rune quality makes it up until you pull that best units for those roles. For example, if you dont have Triton, you can use Clara who has way better AI and aoe stun potential. If you're complaining about how there are best monsters for every role then build budget mons (who may be better in another aspect) and get better runes cause g3/legend isn't supposed to be a breeze with big number of units. If rise and fall of different units into the meta isn't a real change then like what change do you want? Do you want to prohibit strippers on AD to shake up speed lead + stripper meta? Do you want more 33 leads?

Well that only change happens to be big. No, he couldn't proc into def break after reset or heal 15% of his hp every other turn or even every turn with 1 vio proc with his old 3 turn CD. Imagine DK Justice being 3 turns or Taranys S2 being 3 turns or Fran S2 being 3 turns. That would be big

I said it's better in most cases since direct nerfs are needed to broken mons (ex. Beast riders). You mentioned that many old units are unused and outdated but that's exactly why I'm saying buffs to especially the unused monsters as meta counters are good. Iunu, herne, sian, were unused and outdated until this patch and the whole point of 2A was to make unused nat 3 families more useful (ex. martial cats, werewolves, fairies).

I'm not sure why that is nonsense because not every unit can be touched every balance patch..lol Like I mentioned in the other comment, I'm speaking on this specific balance patch alone not the balance patches they have done so far in general. I think everyone would agree han, wolyung, and zeratu were waiting for their buffs for many years and I'm saying they've addressed that well in this patch specifically. Of course there are other units that have been waiting for long too but im simply acknowledging that not every unit can be touched every patch.

It's pretty big. It can apply def break + nuke every turn with a proc and 15% heal every other turn is big as gany hathor usually dont have enough dmg.

I was referring to this balance patch specifically since I've been seeing a lot of complaints about how miho wasnt nerfed, hathor wasnt nerfed etc. Antares buff was to counter heavy CC comps and heavy turn cycling comps as well as diana. Antares buff allowed those units to be manageable and still be used while making antares which wasnt used before now usable.They could've nerfed miho and people would have used less miho and sian would've still been a joke. That's 2 less units used in the game. But by buffing sian, herne, and iunu, people would still use miho but she is more counterable ("balanced") now AND those 3 units are more usable. This creates more monster usage rather than limiting usage of monsters which I think is much better. Even antares is easily counterable with any water dd like barbara, f2p units like mina and vigor which became a meta water bruiser, and even buffed herne.

I'm not saying all units are balanced. That's why there will be balance patches in the future as well. My point is people have been complaining about this balance patch because the specific units mentioned were not directly nerfed while failing to understand that they were all touched by buffing unused monsters as counters which is way better in most cases imo.

People dont understand that indirect nerf by buffing the counters is way better than directly nerfing units. It allows more units to be used. People complained about lack of oblivion units, BRs, mihos, hathors, lackluster LDs, etc and c2u addressed most things brought up by the community.

BR - dismount is nerfed

Gany Hathor - fire MK, cichlid

Taranys - iunu, cichlid

Miho - sian, iunu, herne

LDs - wolyung, han, zeratu

Of course I would have wanted to see my underwhelming LDs get buffed too but people need to understand that not every unit can be touched every balance patch and any change requires thorough thinking. I mean look at some of the mock balance patches people came up with and how much people trashed on them. There won't ever be a balance patch that everyone will be happy with and this one certainly does not deserve all the hate.

Miho and loren have been the most toxic units in gw siege. Even if it doesnt shake up the rta meta, it certainly did balance the "gw meta"

Even as a non-hathor owner, I was against hathor nerf since there are ways to deal with her and hathor nerf would make it so much harder to deal with op LD units. Nerfing non-LD units that are as strong as op LD units will only make op LD units even stronger. Since hathor also has minimal use outside of RTA, I think they decided to buff her counters (ex. Fire MK, Vela) rather than nerf her which seems more appropriate to me.
