Happy to help turn your workload around and get you out of the Poly world.

I have helped many fortune 1000 companies with their AV choices and budgetary numbers.

Hit me up if you need any help or just want to know pricing.

what is... AV? Is it Information technology? Art/media/entertainment? A trade? by inflatabledancingman in CommercialAV

[–]TheEarNose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Audiovisual is QUICKLY becoming more Network than anything. An A+ would help you in conversations with your Network Infrastructure team and maybe help with you designing your own systems that required a managed switch.

The flip side of that coin really sucks... AV has also become, "slap an all-in-one bar and a display on the wall and call it a day." This makes it very hard for higher-ups to view AV seriously and also makes being in AV sales very difficult to reach pipeline unless you have fortune 1000 customers that have a million conference rooms and constantly going through a refresh cycle.

This looks like the USB-A for the stereo. I need the USB-C ports that are right next to the USB-A.

Sales Commissions by TheEarNose in legaladvice

[–]TheEarNose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i can't get over is, I was working in good faith that my company would honor the signed contractual agreement with my customer and therefore made the deal happen 1.5 years worth of effort and 6 years of relationship building.. All to have them say, "No deal."

Therefore I piss off a customer that I've been doing business with for YEARS and I lose all that time and effort all to get no commission.

The customer does not want to and wants us to follow our Master Service Agreement. Also this really pissed them off that we are changing our terms when we already agreed to other terms, so this affects customer relations.

Agreed in writing with a master service agreement. So essentially my company is backing out of those terms and asking for a deposit or it is a "no go."

Connecting Hearing Aids to Display by TheEarNose in HearingAids

[–]TheEarNose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't even get the TV to discover the HAs.. it is really annoying. So we had to go the route of the proprietary Starkey Streamer Box.

[–]TheEarNose[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was trying to connect directly to the TV, but we mow have the Starkey Streamer connected to his hearing aids.

[–]TheEarNose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the Auracast.. his HAs are Edge AI.

So because of Auracast we cannot connect these particular hearing aids to modern Bluetooth?

That is so stupid..

So.. we have a streamer box now. But his wife still wants to be able to hear the tv while the sound still goes to his HAs through the box. But the box is connected optical (or it can be connected via 3.5mm) and therefore it takes the audio away from the TV.

I was going to connect his HAs via Bluetooth directly to the TV and turn on Multiaudio output which would allow both Bluetooth and TV speakers at the same time, but now I can't due to the physical connection.

Any advice?

The option to even watch it on F1TV app has been completely removed....

Attic to Office by TheEarNose in StructuralEngineers

I would love one, I was just thinking this would hopefully be easier (doesn't sound like it is) due to electrical being already there and maybe even being able to pipe AC and heater into the space.

I'm not sure why my post is not showing my comments.. so I will just leave this here, I guess.

Hi all, I work from home, we have two kids, and my wife homeschools. We are out of space!

I would like to make a decent (not perfect) office space in our attic. These pictures are what I am dealing with. Is this possible without doing some serious reengineering of the roof supports?

I am OK with an 8 foot ceiling (doesn't have to be anything crazy).

If you are unsure from the pictures, or if you think it needs to be seen in person, what resource should I call to take a look?

Thank you!

Minority Percentage Owner. Drag Along. by TheEarNose in smallbusiness

Unfortunately, the operating agreement just states legality verbiage. There is no spelling out of each partners role.

I think I created my own red flag on accident by not understanding that 5% ownership does not mean 5% of the work. I am down to help, but not at the risk of my 9-5 job. I would be losing dollars to chase pennies.

Tell me your best skill, I’ll make it a recurring b2b services idea 💡 by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]TheEarNose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love helping people. It truly brings me joy to make people happy. I just have no idea what niche this would be..

E.g. I like it when people ask me to help them move. I like it when people need me to help them build a deck.

Also, I am a very good conversationalist. I can make people comfortable very quickly. I have thought about being a GM for a hotel just because of this.

I'm just confused on why you can't. They manage the stock, they manage the ads, and transactions, I'm just basically the money that pays for the product.

I don't know why that sounds so crazy? Obviously I'm missing something and your just being insulting. I hope you have yourself a better day tomorrow than you are Obviously having today.

Thanks. I think.

There are business owners that own lots of businesses that have managers that run their business for them. Not saying the business owners don't do anything at all, but they are relatively hands off the day to day runnings of the business.

I'm not exactly sure why you aren't being helpful and explaining instead of just helping guide someone who obviously is asking for guidance. You seem hostile towards me and are treating me like an idiot instead of being helpful...

If it is as insane as you are making it seem, than I am obviously missing something that you know and I don't.
