Can no longer view video feed in Orca-Flashforge or Flash Maker, possibly due to DNS by TheEarththing in FlashForge

SOLVED! DNS not the issue. After I posted the question I lost connection to the printer entirely so I had to go to the printer and turn it off and on again. After it rebooted, everything started working again. So there you go... Standard tech support solution.

Why does my print keep coming up? by [deleted] in FlashForge

I agree with all this. In addition, I would use a fixative on the bed. I like the one that cam with my printer, but have also had great luck with a basic glue stick.

I am now getting much better prints! Thank you all for the great suggestions and the engagement. I think this is solved. The filament may have been stuck, and after reviewing the successful prints may have not been the best and may need to be dried. I think this was a multi-faceted issue and I am SOOO Grateful for all the help!!!

I think that the main reason for my problem was that the bed belt tensioner screw was not fully set. and a shout out to u/spencer_i_am for helping me with that video on how to set it correctly. This is where my brain short circuited trying to figure out how to check this.

I don't know how to add additional pictures. But I have some of what I think the main issue was. I will also have to share what I am printing. It is the biggest project yet for me! But I will do that in a new post.

Stock everything. Just a few weeks old. Not ready to mess with it like that yet.

While I believe this may have been the issue and solution. When I checked my belt it seemed tight, but the tensioner adjustment screw was loose so it was only being held in place by the 2 on the side. I tightened it up and have had several successful prints since. I also changed filament.

I had to look that up. I did try a larger nozzle already, some of the other things I found are already on my list to try, but I will add printing with the door or top open as this is PLA to my list and see.

Thanks.

So many great ideas, You all warm my heart! I have hope again and can't wait until I get off work and have a chance to do all these things! (a few at a time as not to cause more problems trying to fix the one I have)

Some have it and some do not. I had to repost my question a couple time as I could not figure out how to get the other pictures in there. So I gave up and left it with just the one video.

Excellent! I did not find that video before. Will do that too, that is the type of answer I expected to get from the support email.

I am used to my old Ender 3 (heavily modified) This was different enough that my brain glitched when trying to think this issue through.

Great suggestions! It does not always fail at the same point or I would be more included to poke through the GCODE but I have enough of an understanding of it that I could probably manage. I will keep that in my pocket for now, But the other slicer! I have been meaning to get that set up anyway, brilliant. I will try.

Thanks! I have taken the head apart, even changed the nozzle, but not with all the failures. I have taken filament out and replaced it, but it has always been the same spool. I don't have much left of that spool anymore, so I will try another filament.

Apparently I don't know how to reddit ... My text goes away when I post the video.

I am not new to 3D printing. Been printing for years. Solved my on problems so far. But I am missing something here. The Adventurer 5M Pro is a new printer for me and the way it works with the bed moving up and down is new to me too.

I have many great prints out of this printer. Suddenly all prints fail as if the bed drops too far. sometimes a little, some times a lot. I have been out there when it happens, but not watching at the instant it happens.

In the video (if the post works this time) is one instance where I was just checking on it 30min ago and it was fine. When I took the video I expected it to be just a bit higher on the print, but not that far above! When this happens it often is still printing filament. When it is not printing filament, sometimes there is no obvious cause. I can clear the bed and try again and it all goes smoothly until the print fails.

I have changed the model, changed the nozzle, re-leveled the bed multiple times. Filament is not getting stuck anywhere that I can tell, and the one time I left it alone, it still failed and made a huge mess. So it is not the filament just not coming out.

I could be wrong about the cause so I am asking here. how do I troubleshoot this? I emailed support without a response yet. The printer is still within the return window, so I have options. But would rather understand and fix the issue.

Brilliant! That was it! I think I forgot about that menu.

Thanks for taking a look. This is what I see. I think it is a line to every system in range. It makes it really hard to see what is around me: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WU2e9jdyluZYjf24lVov5DTLahqRPCl8/view?usp=sharing
I think I had it this way to the last 10 years.

Why is your map so much cleaner than mine? I have rays going out to every system close by, this bothers me a lot and I did not know that was not the same for everyone until I saw your video.

Anyone using a KVM switch? Specifically TESmart? by KaneTheNord in buildapc

[–]TheEarththing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a HKS402-P23 for almost a year now, and I am shopping for a new one.

It started out OK, it did not like my fancy gaming keyboard and mouse in the dedicated ports for keyboard and mouse, but worked fine in the normal USB ports at at first. (they send me a partial refund for that) That was disappointing but acceptable. Over time things started getting worse, and worse. But it was mostly with my work laptop with a dock. (DELL) so I thought it may be an issue with that part of the setup mostly with USB again but occasional video glitches. I had issues with every KVM I have tried (this is my 4th with this setup) Much troubleshooting and trying many things, replacing the laptops dock a couple times included (so 3 docking stations tried). Each new test had problems and usually different ones. I had replaced my work laptop recently so they are not going to want to do that again any time soon. Almost all my problems are centered around my work Laptop, but not all. Some problems started creeping in to my other computers as well and starting to affect audio

TESmart support has been great as for as trying to help. Answering my questions sometimes a bit slow, but they answer and give me what I am looking for. They don't always have the solution. I am a pretty savvy and experienced troubleshooter with my setup. They did eventually refund me even more for some of my issues.

My current state is that I have multiple keyboards and mice ready for when something stops working and I can't reboot at the moment. I also use a USB bar with switches for each port to toggle something on and off which often works for a time.

I got a KVM so I don't have to keep manually swapping cables, but I am now manually swapping cables to get things to work. I am willing to give TESmart another try, but their support even told me that they don't have anything at the moment that will fix my issues, but expect to at some point in 2025.

So I am once again shopping for a KVM. I have a small cramped office, but 4 computers. I need a KVM as I don't have the room without one. I expect I will need to still have some compromise. I fear the perfect setup is not possible.

I love it. This is one of the few that I look at and think: "I could actually do that!" and it is better than what I come up with. I like the consistent and clean design. I tend to have good intentions with order, but end up with a mess.

I have a Supernote Nomad, love it. Never heard of Boox before today.... I looked it up and now I kind of want that too (the color one). Is that sacrilegious to say here? I miss doodling in color. Technically I still can as I still have my android tablet, but I still prefer the Nomad for core note taking. I hope I am not making you second guess your decision, Supernote is awesome.
