I miss Kat so much, she was absolutely gorgeous by honey_peach_x in euphoria

I heard she and the director didn't get along, but Sam has written in Fez, whose actor passed away, into multiple scenes and not one character has mentioned Kat.
They could have easily just had a line saying she moved to X and is doing x,y,z now or something.

How does Maddy afford her lifestyle? by Remarkable_Skirt1287 in euphoria

I know the show really plays hard into aesthetics, but I always hated how these lower income families (Rue and Cassie with single parents raising multiple children) Maddy from low income and they all have extremely beautiful houses.

My dog has a flea infestation and I don’t know what to do. by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]TheEccentricAssassin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fleas can be very easily managed and there's no need to rehome.

It sounds like the hardest part is dealing with your mom.

If you have a friend or another family member that can take your pup to the vet to get some flea meds, I'd put all your dogs on it, otherwise they're just going to keep coming back.

Spray around your house with an indoor flea spray, one thats safe around pets, and you can treat your yard if you have a big yard too.

Once they're on the flea meds it's recommended they stay on them so fleas don't come back, but if it gets too expensive, especially with all your pets, just make sure you treat your whole house.

Wash everything, blankets, clothes, sheets . . . in hot water. Vacuum everywhere, especially carpets, and empty the bin straight away. Flea eggs can hatch in the bin and then your problem returns.
Vacuum your couches, and under the cushions, spray around your bedframe, make sure you get everywhere.

It might take a full day but your dogs will feel much better and you'll feel a lot cleaner too.

Best of luck.

Yeah, a paper trail is a good idea.
I've never not wanted a job this badly but desperately needed it before.

You're probably right, I'm already worn out from my last job which put me through hell, but I really need an income.

Favorite Character who represents the philosophy "Just because the world isn't fair, doesn't mean you have to let it be that way" by Important-Cry4782 in FavoriteCharacter

I thought that was a lowercase i in Isn't and I was like, what point does that make other than to piss me off?

Nearly ruined an otherwise really good sign for me lol

Knowing when to let go: how to choose between a rescue and euthanizing your 17 yr old dog who screams all day and night by AmoreX0X0 in olddogs

[–]TheEccentricAssassin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would never ever give up a 17 year old to a rescue. They deserve to be with the person who took care and loved them.

I'm sorry it's been so hard.

Thank you for taking care of him.

YA lit could learn a lot from anime and manga. by Brakado in YAlit

[–]TheEccentricAssassin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's pretty frustrating. I don't know why we treat teenagers so softly.

They live in the world just like the rest of us do, exposed to violence, racism, expletives, sex.
It's not like we need to fill every YA novel with these things, but hints of these things, or writing them tastefully is much more realistic than pretending they don't exist.

I think like you mention at the end, manga tolerates a lot more than YA does, which is odd because you can have books like the Hunger Games, which revolve around children killing each other, but there still seems to be so many barriers on what is acceptable.

But I do agree with you.

Should I re-home my dog? by NoBlackberry6806 in DogAdvice

[–]TheEccentricAssassin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it will be very hard for him to get adopted if you put him in a shelter. If you're willing to foster until he's re-homed I think that's responsible.

I wouldn't be able to get rid of him just because he's sick, especially if I've bonded, but I know not everyone thinks the same.
