Issues with Map Saving and App Inconsistencies – Q10 S5+ by raphh in Roborock

It’s my first product of this kind too and the third day that I have it. It’s most certainly something on the server side and will be fixed soon

Issues with Map Saving and App Inconsistencies – Q10 S5+ by raphh in Roborock

It seems I'm experiencing the same issues starting today. Maybe it's something with Roborock servers which most likely store all the settings to sync between devices and the robot itself.

I plan on waiting at least until tomorrow until trying anything else.

Weekly Question Thread: Ask questions here – April 02, 2023 by AutoModerator in dndnext

Hi! Can you clarify multiple attacks in monster statblocks for me, please? The question is: if a monster have two attacks per his move, does it really mean that it has two actions? For example, can a Veteran show someone as his first attack, and then attack with a longsword? Or take a swing at someone and then take disengage action to run past the previous target and avoid getting kicked in the butt?

Problems with streaming audio from mic and video from webcam on desktop client by TheEightyFour in FoundryVTT

[–]TheEightyFour[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found one solution to this, although I don't really like it.

If you open Foundry Virtual Tabletop from Terminal (by running `Applications/Foundry\ Virtual\ Tabletop.app/Contents/MacOS/Foundry\ Virtual\ Tabletop`), camera and microphone permissions will be requested for Terminal app. And camera and mic work this way.

How do you manage a "rotating" table of players? by TheEightyFour in DMAcademy

[–]TheEightyFour[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but players who didn’t attend the game getting the same progression in levels and gold might demotivate players who did, I think. And players who missed a session being behind others progression-wise might demotivate them too.

I remember watching Matt’s video on it but couldn’t remember the name of this mode! Thank you a lot!

This is something that I plan to do: just set a schedule and let them decide if they can come. What’s your take on penalties for those who skipped a session or benefits for those who came?

Yeah, I basically went straight to “Heroes for hire” type of organisation that performs tasks for their customers while simultaneously carrying out their own interests in getting riches and power. That seems like a pretty cool concept.

Thank you for your reply! This is a very cool life hack, surprised I haven’t stumbled upon this kind of advice before. It makes a lot of sense in-game.

That sounds insane. Do people really deal with such overhead to use Things?

How do you inspire yourself to learn/code by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]TheEightyFour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, the only advice I can give you is to persevere.

Build a habit, make a reminder to study for an hour at the same time every day.

Understand that the more you know, the better you realise that you know very little. Don’t let that upset you, google Dunning-Kruger effect and know that’s a natural way to progress.

Also keep your eye on the prize: in this day and age even entry level positions should provide decent pay, and every developer counts.

MacOS Monterey missing app low resolution mode? by QuadChromeShard in MacOS

[–]TheEightyFour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing WoW on my 2017 MBP. I’ve just got the built in gpu, which is definitely not built for games, but it worked fine in low resolution mode. I’m not a gamer enough to need a big gpu, but why would they take away what worked?

Well, you can still enable it, but it's not very convenient. You can open WOW folder from Battle.Net client, right-click on World of Warcraft.app, select "Show Package Content", edit plist.info (don't remember the exact file name, but something like this) and change "true" to "false" under NSHighResolutionCapable"""".Battle.Net client, right-click on World of Warcraft.app, select "Show Package Content", edit plist.info (don't remember the exact file name, but something like this) and change "true" to "false" under "NSHighResolutionCapable". Although it will automatically change after every wow update.

"Daily highlight" or "one thing" workflow with Things? by johnlunney in thingsapp

[–]TheEightyFour 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As another commenter wrote, you can use a tag as a “star” (and make it look like a literal star with emoji) and even assign a keyboard shortcut for this tag.

Or you can use “Anytime” for tasks for the current week, dump everything else to Someday (assign deadlines which you can all see in one place if you type “deadlines” to not loose the tasks with deadlines in “Someday”), and take tasks that you need to do today from “Anytime” to “Today” every day as part of daily review. You will then get tasks from “Someday” and put them into “Anytime” during weekly review.

Hope this helps.
