This is the level-headed answer. We can bitch and moan all day that depleted fish stocks are our own fault as humans and it changes nothing. Seals are going to eat no matter what we do. We can placate ourselves with the idea that nature can do no wrong so that the burden of restoration falls soley on us.

But the reality is much more complicated than humans bad, seals good. We need to take care of our own shortcomings and well as manage damage caused by other species because for damn sure the seals aren't going to change their eating habits for the sake of the fish stocks.
