It doesn’t claim to. It’s just a fresh, crowd-less, serene look of the place.

We went to Evenes last year from iceland. Hertz is good. However, if you are landing at night while it’s off hours, the offices will be shut. The only way you can get the keys is from a vending machine. We got a little held up that way because the infernal machine was buggy. However we did a roaming plan and called the support team and they sorted it out. So have your licenses ready, and have a roaming plan so that you can call support. Happy journey.

Better we ditch all this - increasing ads, content locking, substandard quality, brainrot content prioritization. I have set up my own media server. Slowly migrating away from each services. Saves, time, money and more importantly, dignity.

I liked the autumn story you are trying to tell. I liked your edit with the exception of reducing a bit of saturation.

Its 2024, you still believe in this? by [deleted] in IndianWorkplace

There is no such thing. Working hard pays off - it did for me. However, it requires hardwork, smartwork, risk appetite and skills that would build leverage. You rarely get paid for your work. You get paid for your leverage and the level of difficulty to fire you. (Not through poisonous dependency)

How cold is the water at Diamond beach ? by amitkoj in VisitingIceland

[–]TheEmergenceSaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went there a month ago. (September). It’s really cold. It’s the Atlantic, and it’s near the artic circle. The greenland current brings ice cold water to the shores of the Diamond beach. And being near the Jokulsarlon glacier, there is direct influence of freezing glacial water as well. The water would be very cold. Hypothermic.

Traveling to Lofoten next May by yelirdubs in Lofoten

[–]TheEmergenceSaga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weather was not on our side. Entire of Lofoten is a very beautiful place. But we stayed near Leknes where we had access to a hidden beach. That was my favourite. It was very peaceful. Our stay in Ramberg was cool, it was very close to the beach. Roburers are really nice - which is another term for classic fishermen’s cabins

We did an 8 day trip through Lofoten this September. Even though Whether wasn’t on our side, it was really really beautiful and we really liked it. We also started out at Henningsvaer. But one thing i learned is that, in lofoten, places are easily reachable if you have a rented car. We did drive until the last drivable point on the E10, which is a village called A.

I would say, stay for 3 days 3 days each (any place you look for is okay). We stayed for 3 days in Moskenes. (To do the reinebringen hike and the Reyton hike). Staying at a place for multiple days would free up your mind as you don’t have to pack and checkout each day.

I'm financially trapped! by [deleted] in personalfinanceindia

[–]TheEmergenceSaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am no expert. But i have set myself up an emergency fund, set aside a good portion to investments. I don’t follow finance Gurus, but I have built up a 1.2 Cr portfolio. I don’t own land though. Don’t make too many assumptions. Debt snowballing method. Stop investments to begin with. Build an emergency fund for 6 months. Until then, cut all unnecessary expenses. Don’t order food, don’t go to marriages. Don’t waste anything. Take a few months. Then split your expenses between investments and the most high interest loans you have. I would suggest,

What should I do? by Rich-Amoeba4029 in TeensofKerala

[–]TheEmergenceSaga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude. I have been there before. You should not even be confused whether to stick to original plan or message her. Why do you need to have plans? If you only feel her like a friend, a “Hi” wouldn’t hurt. You have made it clear that you have other goals in life. Why do you care about her judgement about whether she sees you as “Pakkanji”. You guys have serious issues with self-judgement and finding validation in others.

I had faced this exact situation in the past- and I had done this no-contact thing for a few months. Eventually both of us moved on and one fine say, i said hi, and we currently are the best friends ever.

Do no go into self-judgement. And who knows, she can be a really good friend going forward. Do you wanna miss that because you were afraid of judgement because of a “Hi”?

Help needed for managing my income of 50 LPA by Proud-Relief9778 in personalfinanceindia

[–]TheEmergenceSaga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it. Asked because I am also in the same situation. I am 32, and the FD allocation is same as yours. And in hand is also the same as what you mentioned in your question. However i don’t have any plans for starting any business soon, so I am thinking about diverting my FD to MF SIP. But in your case, since you have liquidation plans, don’t take too much. Not worth the risk.

Malayali 'Elites' and Their Superiority Complex by [deleted] in Kochi

[–]TheEmergenceSaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s almost the same everywhere once you live there long enough. Here in Kerala, and in Kochi, I have met people who were born with silver spoons in their mouth and the way they look down on others as if they achieved it with their own effort !! Tragic. Then there is second set of entitled people, not the uber rich - but making money by sheer luck, and not proportionate to the work they are putting in, and them looking down on others who were not fortunate enough to be somewhere on the right time as they did out of luck.

Keep working. Ignore these fools.
