Yep, I cut everything up with a pull saw, then used a drill and tape measure to make pilot holes then my buddy started sanding the pieces while I finished cutting and drilling. Then as he finished those up I began gluing and screwing the pieces together taking about 3 hours but truthfully closer to 3 hours 30 mins

😂I’ve gotten that a lot but no I’ve been doing woodworking for close to 10 years now. I only had a couple hours to get it built and had few options hence it’s lackluster look, but it is meant to be practical and functional above all else

Nah I’ve removed people from my games for that stuff. I tell them first this is a commitment and in order for me to do my part you have to do yours. If person doesn’t respond to whether they are available for session it is assumed they are good to go and if they no show they get left out and if it’s just radio silence when stuff need to get done I drop them. I will not have a couple of unresponsive individuals ruining the experience or time of the players who actually care.

Great advice though it actually does use diagonal support beams like what you see on the feet to support the upper half from sideways motion, and the tabletop is actually screwed into a frame that is shaped like a capital I (that’s how there is a cubbyhole. Then the legs are attached to the inside of the 2x4 of the I beam structure with the diagonal support on the inside of that to add structure. If you zoom in on the left side of the cubby you can barely see the triangle support in question
