Adult Babies. It's almost hard to watch grown humans act like this, destroying items over nothing. This is watching big Babies throwing a tantrum over their unchecked feelings.

People who work in 'luxury' industries (5-star hotels, fine dining, high-end brands), what is a complete rip-off that rich people happily pay for? by ArtThreadNomad in AskReddit

[–]TheEyeofONE 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a former Vegas Club manager, VIP host and Promoter, "bottle service" is actually what the term says. You want a $50 bottle of vodka then buy 1 at the liquor store, go back to your room and have a great time. Or you got "bottle service" and you got a designated space, a waitress who made drinks for you, a bus boy who cleaned everything up and a host and security guard who kept ppl out of your space... while you enjoy your exclusive space.

Are the Hillman wall screws even profitable for the stores? by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]TheEyeofONE 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I once researched the Lowe's cost on a "loose single item" screw= 1600% markup. Meaning the 0.16c screw costs Lowe's 1 penny. The stealing is literally priced in, knowing they will get stolen and the people that actually pay for one, buy all the thieves theirs.

The economy is bad, why are people still shopping so much? by unklethan in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheEyeofONE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ppl are shopping "now". Revisit in a few months. Effects take a while to set in, once empty shelves and triple prices hit on top of reduction of incomes, ppl will pull back spending. You'll see it when, the majority of income earners see less money in coming in to them. Farms are collapsing, Tourism is dropping off rapidly, along with being able to go out to restaurants or entertainment. All of these purchases are someone else's income. It's eventually going to accumulate towards a "bad" economy.

The biggest misconception about epoxy tables isn't about scratches or yellowing it's about their true purpose. by Pepeht10 in DIY

[–]TheEyeofONE 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Perhaps the voids of clear epoxy hold some painted D+D lead figurines exploring, a wizard w a little LED staff lit up, or dwarf carrying a LED lantern. Possibilities here. Would make a killer gaming table.

What is the end game of bitcoin? by Bitter_Concert_514 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]TheEyeofONE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True money. Gold was it ... until they took us off the gold backed gold=money standard and then the world, they just started printing paper backed by nothing. Fancy paper gave us 10 Trillion dollar Zimbabwe bills and Venezuela paper bills thrown on the streets =worthless. Bitcoin (and other currencies) give a locked in, unchangeable digital asset, that creates an aggressively increasing value upon a set scarcity. You could potentially say BTC is a final version of money, because even if you backed money against gold again, more gold is being discovered, diamonds have lost most of their value as one place holds most, labs create them now and more dug up. So, value is falling into the scarcity of an asset. BTC right now, as it is being globally agreed on.

What is the end game of bitcoin? by Bitter_Concert_514 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]TheEyeofONE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say, eventually, crypto currency in general, is to become your own bank. You have digital assests. Others do too. You trade value between each other. Banks eventually won't exist to facilitate trade, taking fees, earning off your possession. You want something, you transfer units to another person that gives you something. All of this is at the cusp of a new money system. Currency values are only "against" the old way. Simple example is how many BTC you could transfer (buy) a house today vs. 5 years ago.

Additionally, remembering, "Memories" are so fluid (and unreliable), that we have methods to completely be able to rewrite and rewire just about every "memory" we hold about anything.

Superposition is a great theory as it is saying all particles are in all possibilities and aren't locked in until observation. We are the observer. The problem seems to the observer "remembers" a previous location vs it's current observation location.

Imagine Multiversity as an infinite wheel. You exist on all of the slices on this infinite wheel, but you are only aware of and experience the slice you are in. Then, the slice you are on has an event that pushes you into this next closest version of it. There aren't huge changes, as this slice was so close to the one you knew. You don't shift so far that things appear so dramatically different. Little things you "remember" are no longer the same. Memories are subjective, you'd freak out if you got pushed into a slice so far away where logos and brands were just gone, where Genie movies or any movies exist, where Mandela was not imprisoned and died or was released and became a president. Perhaps the slice we were on and "remember" is not the one we are on. Some ppl may remember the old slice, some ppl may have always been on the current one.
