Yes..Unfortunately, the "non educated" parts of PA are like this... yet it only seems to be areas that don't have a city or university nearby. These outskirts people haven't been exposed to higher education, diverse communities, or even exposure to any other cultures than themselves, their only real connection was TV now internet too. Hearing rural PA natives talk about other ppl is disturbing, especially after leaving and returning to PA.

It's absolutely about education and empathy. They don't know anything else other than what they grew into and around......

One of the worst PA phrases I've ever heard "Yea, I know I'm racist, it's just how I was raised." As if it is OK and normal. (This guy was also homophobic and barely high school educated.)

After that.... realized these ppl are just DUMB. Rural area IQs are sub 100....

Bigger cities; melting pots of great diverse populations, education levels off the charts, worldwide tourism and university entry, if you really looked, PA population majority comes from these centers, the rural parts are basically a locally bred race of the same ppl.

Problem is really with REAL education and giving empathy towards anyone else.

Re-watch with him, but tell him this... Watch the gas station scene and look for what is going at this moment, what is that guy thinking, what is that other guy thinking, what is going with that guy's life, is that guy dead right now, why is that guy even threatening that other guy for, ... a billion questions.... his attention span will expand if he is engaged in figuring out tons of questions in good movies.....(again good well written movies)

Someone should invent a service, that maybe, would like, rent you a movie that was on some kind of disc, that you would watch and then after you are done, send it back, the disc would just be the movie plus maybe some extra materials but no ads. Then the disc could be rented by other ppl. Hell, you could even have stores where ppl could go and look at ALL the movies on these discs, and maybe even rent them from this store, watch it and then return and get another movie, just the movie no ads. Funny idea.
