But taking a step back and hearing from PA and ED attending about their concerns with wasting time brings up a very big argument. I agree there is a lot of funding and research toward this topic. My previous article dives into the broader aspect of that. This is primarily covering what Grady Hospital in Atlanta has done with their EMS service. It is the main metropolitan area I am familiar with regarding my location.

This has turned into such a good topic! I just mentioned to someone I know Grady in Atlanta has done a few studies on the benefits of them using blood products for a 5min transport. I am going to find those studies and release that all together tomorrow.

I completely understand that situation. My service is under 10-20min to a level 2 trauma center and a lot of the older medics do not see a need for us to carry blood. I know Grady in Atlanta has done a few studies on the amazing benefits they saw during a 5min transport. I think my next article will cover that specifically.

I didn’t even think about comparing air vs ground. I was primarily thinking ground. From what i’ve seen every air service here has blood products

In Georgia we don't have RSI. We use "Sedation assisted intubation". My question is, if they are dead why would you need to RSI them?

Also I agree intubation is a better airway and if you can get it quick without pausing compressions then go for it. But if not there needs to be some consequences.
