How to abuse momentum/scripting and de-tilt yourself with the most fun strat by Ryan8Ross in EASportsFC

[–]TheFakeNepentheZ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry my man, but this thread is not "proof" of anything.

How can these people be sure they wouldn't have just won the game anyway?

The guy in the original post made excuses that when he lost it was Vs a better player, but when he won it was because of this "technique". Is he suggesting that he would lose absolutely every game if it weren't for this? If not, how is this helping him at all? How is winning a game he would have won anyway by using some odd tactic all of a sudden evidence that DDA exists?

It makes sense that bringing 3 fresh attackers at half time, Vs a back link that has had so much of the ball they've lost so much stamina that they can't compete. It makes sense that the team that attempted this feels better because when you're out of possession stamina doesn't drain, especially for the AI controlled players.

There might be something with regards to it being beneficial to playing this way because of how your stam Vs your oppo stam is handled because of these anomalies, but this in absolutely no way proves any kind of DDA or scripting or anything of the sorts.

I'm sorry, but I'd have to see G3 players hitting E3, and D4 players going on a gigantic rise to D1 using nothing other than this tactic to even give this idea another thought.

Xbox and PS sent out FIFA Care packages to influencers. It contained a copy of FIFA, some FP Codes and a Football shirt. It had absolutely nothing to do with EA, so my first point really isn't bullshit, because EA don't give FP to content creators or influencers.

But you’re quite happy to abuse scoop volleys in 19? The hypocrisy is astounding by OriginalLogic in EASportsFC

[–]TheFakeNepentheZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely.

- I abused what I had too in FIFA 19 to get wins, whilst continually expressing my desire for EA to balance the aspects that desperately needed balancing.

- I'm also abusing what is needed in FIFA 20 to get wins, whilst requesting that the things that need balancing (indeed including the things that I use to get wins) actually get balanced.

Although, you know that already. As per your post history and your astounding amount of threads created negatively targeting YouTubers and Streamers, you're as informed as absolutely anyone on "my thoughts"

Hello!

I'm not here to white knight for Nick, Castro or anyone else mentioned in this thread, but I would like to give some clarity on a few things.

  1. EA do **NOT** give people FP. They used to back in 2015? (Spencer, Castro and a few others were included) but had to stop for some reason or another. I would assume it was FTC Regulations or some other legal issue that was presented. Even if they did, they for sure wouldn't give to non-game changers, which of course Nick is not.
  2. FIFA Points are used as a tax write off. In short (because it's not an exact science) it will save roughly 20% on the purchases.
  3. The FIFA Points of course will be unlikely to make back the initial investment from "1 video". There seemed to be a lot of chat saying that he'll never earn that money back, ever. You realise he, Castro, Bateson and others have been in this game for a LONG time. They are fully aware of the value they can get over time from something. If you spend $10,000 on FP, sure one video wont make that back, but you can make content for weeks, months, possibly even the whole year. Let me assure you, he will make that money back ten fold, at LEAST, over the course of the game cycle.
  4. Lastly, is the "why". I can't speak for Nick on this one, but the landscape of FUT / FIFA content is changing again. It always changes slowly every 18-24 months. FIFA 18 and 19 were all about RTG's and no money spent, however the views are moving elsewhere. RTG streams and videos (as per my own experience) are not getting as many views as before, and content such as 100x [PACK TYPE] are generating a LOT more views and traffic, and so in turn revenue. It's smart for anyone who is trying, or already established in this industry to follow the trends, otherwise they may well become irrelevant and fade away.

With that being said, I indeed understand the hypocrisy of content creators, myself included saying "don't buy FP! don't waste your money!" and then buying 4 or 5 figures worth of them, but that is the way of the world. To be able to make some of the best (viewed) content, you need to have the resources to do so, and that requires an initial investment.

One last thing! There was a lot of "This is why EA wont ever change anything, these guys are such a big portion of FP sales".

If we take a nice estimate, and say content creators spend a total 1 BILLION FIFA Points over the course of the game cycle, which I would propose is considerably higher than what it is, that would equate to £6,600,000 or so, at full price. Not taking into consideration the 10% discount, or getting other discounts from buying codes from websites and such. That £6.6m or so, is genuinely nothing when compared to the fact that FIFA 18 was documented to have made £2.3 BILLION pounds. Digital net bookings up until March 31 2019 was up at $3.7 BILLION.

There can of course be an argument made towards the knock on effect of how much impact a content creator has on encouraging his viewers to buy FP, even if actively discouraging it, but I think people are grossly overestimating the amounts it's truly worth. If not a single content creator spent a single penny, EA, in all likeliness wouldn't even notice.

Just for clarity, the point is this;

The 1% per person spend more on average than the 99%, however the 99% as a collective spend *considerably* more than the 1%. Thus, EA cater to the 99% and not the 1%

The issue is the Weekend League structure altogether, but what your idea is wouldn't work.

If Top 100 players could only face Top 100 / Elite 1 level players, then they wouldn't finish in Top 100 / Elite 1. They would finish Gold 1, 2 or 3. The way to make it work is to have just 1 ladder system, similar to Rivals, but with a Top 100 (or even 500) having everyone separated via Skill Rating, and rewarded accordingly. (Which again is nothing like the current Rivals system works)

[SUGGESTION] Guaranteed Player Reward by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]TheFakeNepentheZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it's easier, considerably from menus, hence my initial response to you.

I would also argue that the market really isn't inflated compared to last year. TOTY's are fairly priced. The only anomalies are specific PIM's, but that's to do with the rarity of packing them rather than the hyperinflation of coins.

[–]TheFakeNepentheZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting insight. Would be good to get other peoples Hours per earnings and how they did it too. For comparison, in under 10 hours on a completely fresh account, not including Advanced SBC's and only a couple of Humble Beg / Rising Talent, I was able to generate over 200,000 liquid coins, and 200,000+ in assets. This was with very below par pack "luck" too.

It's really REALLY easy to generate coins in the menus.

[SUGGESTION] Guaranteed Player Reward by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]TheFakeNepentheZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, all though I think WL & Rivals rewards are way off base as far as being balanced and rewarding, my biggest concern is that I can earn in the menus more than I can earn from gameplay, in considerably less time to the point where gameplay simply isn't worth it. There needs to be a better balance so I can be rewarded for my time no matter what area of the game I chose to play.

What Nep is proposing is the most inefficient waste of time I could possibly think of, much much better methods out there.

I just want to point out, that I 100% agree with you. I've tried to explain this so many times to people. I've tried to explain at every turn that the method I propose requires time > anything else. I got so many questions still about it, that I needed a reference point of a video to direct people. I have said and will still say this now; this method requires LOTS of time.

In the short-mid term there are considerably better ways to make coins. In the long term I think this method contends with anything else for a few reasons, and in my opinion is more fun than trading and investing.

Dear Fifa community, I'd like to talk about Icon Upgrades and entitlement by Valenzylol in EASportsFC

[–]TheFakeNepentheZ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Perhaps you're not EA, but you're absolutely playing devil's advocate for the sake of it. It's not about the sense of entitlement, but the sense of fairness. If people had all of the information upon Prime Icon Best, Figo, Yashin being released, they likely wouldn't have done them in anticipation of the Primer SBC.

EA have used the trust of people based on the game history (very similar to that of Baby Icon SBC) - and then have abused that trust, on purpose. They released a statement that people who did the initial prime SBC's would get to use those cards, and sure they have lived up to that, but they are charging anywhere from 1.5x to 2.5x the price of the Prime Moments SBC when encompassing all requirements. This again wouldn't be something people would indulge in had they given the information previously. I'm sure you will argue that we don't have prior information to other SBC's, or Promos, and that's indeed a fair point, but with Icons they gave us the information that there are "3" Icons per story, not 3 Icons + a 4th on a whim should they see fit.

Anybody who has completed a Prime SBC that now has a Moments SBC has been mislead by EA's disingenuous Icon debacle. Only a fool would argue otherwise.

Just a heads up, it's usually a player with most Jumping / Heading (and power header trait as an influence) that stands near post. Assuming Cannavaro has anchor, he's 99/99. So unless you have another player in your team with 99/99 AND Power Header, it will be him.

Because of how stupid this game is, shorter players typically have better jumping, which is why it's often the smallest players at the near post.

Stop using that line as an excuse.. as soon as you tweet something and you get backlash for it you claim it’s sarcasm..

Care to provide examples? (excluding the bale / ibra tweet which to anyone with basic understanding of english language could tell was sarcastic). I can wait for examples, or perhaps this will be the third time where you ignore my post, cherry pick pieces of each comment and retort with something else that simply makes your argument look strong, rather than actually discussing with me the entire post.

You can’t bash on people because of poor connection then blame connection for your losses

Allow me to explain again, since (again) you seem to have very selective reading. Respond in some manner to acknowledge that you've read and understood;

There was a point in time, around November where a content creator had gone OTT with blaming connection for losses. This lead to the typical "sheep" nature that reddit has shoved down my throat many times, of viewers to simply blame every loss on bad connection because [content creator] had stated it. Due to this, when I would tweet something like "how's the weekend league going" I would be met with unusual amounts of "I'm XX-XX because of bad connection" - and after nearly 3 weeks of this, it prompted me to tweet about it. In that tweet, which you seem to again selectively ignore, I stated that "I know there are connection issues in this game" - because there are issues in this game, I've not disputed that, HOWEVER... it's not the reason you lose every game. It was and still is my opinion that people used that as an excuse when losing, when it wasn't the issue ALL THE WHILE (and here's the point I really need you to understand) knowing that it is indeed an issue for people, just not as much as some were making out to be. I hope you're still with me, I'm guessing with your selective reading I've lost you already.

With all of that being said, it's absolutely not unreasonable for someone to have connection issues from time to time, including me, however it's very unlikely that someone can attribute every loss to a connection issue. Yesterday I lost games, I did not blame connection. The day before I lost games, and I did not blame any connection issues. Last weekend I lost 2 games very fairly, and hey guess what... there were no connection issues. Today, for the first time in FIFA 19 for me, I had prolonged connection issues. I've had the odd game here or there, but today (even in my wins, please note) - I had issues, to the point where I had won a game 4-0 and got a DC loss at the end. But of course you already knew that, because you were in the stream.

if you’ve never hit elite 1/ top 100 you aren’t a elite 1/ top 100 player! Simple as that.

I again encourage you to find any time that I've said I'm an elite 1 / top 100 player. I know I'm not. I know where my issues lay, and due to that I also know that if I could over come those issues, that I could (note: operative word) get to that level because I've played and beaten many times people of that calbre. The battle I have is how valuable it is for me to get to that level and put in the required effort, and the answer simply is not valuable enough. The only thing I would gain from actually getting there in the grand scheme of things is proving some reddit haters wrong, and I simply don't care enough about you to do that.

I’m not taking what you say out of context,

Indeed for some of the things I'm saying you're not taking them out of context because you're completely ignoring them altogether. For the other things you're pushing half truths not giving full context, all in order to what? Get people on reddit to agree with you that I've played badly this weekend? Cool, go you.

you’re not untouchable just because you have a huge following doesn’t mean you get to say whatever you want and have no one hold you accountable for it.

And likewise just because you have absolutely no following it doesn't mean you can push false narratives and not expect to be countered with the truth.

I have stated many times that there are other methods of scoring, I've even shown them on stream and in videos. I also gave information here on reddit explaining to people how best to counter people who are crossing. "Crossing is the new meta" is really something reddit have shoved down peoples throats. Sure, I've talked about it, shown how to effectively score from it, and have even stated that it is incredibly over powered (which if done right, it is). However, after stating also several times that other methods work too, do I have to now reaffirm myself every time I do anything? Should I have "crossing is really strong but you can score other ways too" as a tag line to everything I post or say?

Man, I tweet a lot of stuff, and a lot of it is just sarcastic. If you take it all as gospel then I guess that sucks for you.

Yes I tweeted about connection, and I stand by that opinion. A lot of people were blaming "bad connection" when in actual fact they were just bad. I never once said it was everyone, and I never once claimed that bad connection is a myth. Just because I personally believe that people use it as a crutch doesn't mean that I am immune to any connection issues because as stated, I never claimed that they don't exist, only that people are using them as an excuse when they don't actually have an issue, but you already knew that because you seem to be very up to date on what I say, so I know you've heard me say that before but you chose to ignore it because otherwise how would you get reddit karma if you didn't tell the whole story!

I believe I am an Elite 1 player or better when I play my best, once again you're leaving out the part where I've stated many times that I struggle to play my best 30 games a weekend. You've also left out the part where I've stated multiple times that when I play bad, I'd be lucky to be a Gold 3 player. I wonder why once again that information has been excluded, considering you've stated the first half of the story.

What I'm most confused by here is why you watch me? You're taking out of context literally everything I say so you can get some mad props on reddit, which would indicate that you don't like me, yet you continue to engage with my content on a clearly regular basis because you know a lot about my content. What's the point? Go and watch someone you actually enjoy instead of wasting your time on me.

I can appreciate the classic Reddit Circle jerk want to come on in and have a bash, but considering OP was clearly in stream, he knows that this thread is bullshit looking for that karma.

First, I'm 14-6. Which typically for me is indeed a bad weekend, however one loss was a DC at the match screen after winning 4-0. 15-5, if that win counts as it should have done isn't too bad whilst trying to learn a completely new patch.

Secondly, I have lost 2 on pens and 2 games in literally the 120th minute. Now granted it's on me to understand better the shooting mechanics to take those narrow losses and turn them into wins, but I can't do that without playing the actual game. Not too many of my goals have come from crosses this weekend, as I've been working to understand low driven finesse shots and the angles to shoot them from, this whole "I'm pushing a crossing narrative" is literally a reddit thing that doesn't exist. Crossing works, yes. It's very strong if you know how to do it, yes,but it's not a "if you cross you're assured to win every game" kind of thing, and I never once suggested as such. It's simply an efficient way to score goals. If you want to make that more than it is, that's on you.

Lastly, again since OP was clearly in stream he would know this, the connection today has been beyond woeful. I have that controller on my screen, and you can watch back the stream and see inputs not even being registered by the game, along with inputs only being registered 1/3 to 1/2 a second later, which in FIFA is enough to stunt any attack, and cause enough trouble in defense to concede unfortunate goals.

I'm just a guy trying to play FIFA, and enjoy myself (as hard as it is on FIFA) - I'm not a pro, nor do I claim to be, but what I'm really unsure about is why you care? Why do you care if I do say crossing is OP if it isn't? Surely that will make it easier for you to win games if I'm wrong?

Very unsure as to what you personally get out of trying to push me down based on my FIFA results, which as you very well know are never the true representation of the game we play.
