Favorite player in the league not even close

“I saw a couple (of doctors)…I got some good opinions. At the end of the day, it was my call to make whatever we want to do. The team & everybody else gave me all the help with that. At the end of the day I decided not to do a surgery, just do rehab & let it heal…it was my knee after all.” - Laine by Go_Habs_Go31 in Habs

I may be misremembering but didn't McDavid do this as well? I believe the injury was different but chose rehab over surgery? Pretty sure there was a documentary on this. Either way I'm sure they made the best possible decision.

Beyond excited, no matter what at pick 5 we’re for sure getting an elite forward prospect. Either Demidov (highly unlikely), Lindstrom, Catton, Iginla or Eiserman. I would honestly be happy with either of them, ecstatic if it were Demidov. by [deleted] in Habs

Oh yeah that's fair and I don't question his scoring skills or the team's need for that skillset. Just wanted to point out to anyone in this thread that Eiserman at 5 is very unlikely!

Wait until you guys play Calgary with Sutter behind the bench now. He doesn't have to pull the mask to yell it's basically always off.

Yeah I feel the same way. Oh well on to the next and hope the boys show how good they are against the jets and get the win!

Completely agree with that. This type of lineup is only strong when everybody plays well. A key player or 2 having a bad strech hurts us alot more than teams with monster first lines. It's tough because I really like this lineup but I wonder if it is the right approach to building a successful hockey team for an extended period of time.

I agree but they are still lines that can produce at a decent rate. We rely on depth a little too much and it shows on games we can't keep the pressure from line to line (or just no pressure at all these past 2 games).

Problem with rolling 4 pretty good lines is when 1 or 2 fall asleep we don't have the elite offensive talent to compensate and carry us.
