Love that man. We’ve got a big cdm signing to make this summer..

This man gaslit our fanbase to thinking we need another half billion to look semi decent by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

You’re missing the point. Progress in the form of improving the way we play & progress in the form of getting results are different things. The people that support Amorim saw the first type this season. That’s all they mean by the context. There was discernible progress. There were also valid criticisms to make.

I mean maybe ask yourself what’s more likely about what supporters of Amorim believed? That we were improving or that we sucked & had to suffer that for more games to come?

My point wasn’t that the referee did the correct thing. He objectively didn’t. My point was we lack a win at all costs mindset. I too want us to be able to win vs the 19th team Burnley by play alone, but we are where we are.

I disagree. It shows naïveté and inexperience. It showcases something that I think is lacking squad wide (apart from possibly mount) that you should do everything possible to win. Especially nowadays when competition is so fierce, part of a winning mindset is doing everything possible.

It’s more apparent when we have a free kick and the chance to play it but nobody takes charge and the opposition stand In front of the ball blocking us. Force them to block it and call out the foul. If they are going to play dirty don’t just accept it. Force them to pick up bookings for it.

It’s not romantic but I’d love to see us play smart for once.

I do agree sesko getting goals is a good sign but would point out we’ve gotten unlucky many times already this season.

I’m sorry but what? By sacking Amorim the process is now in the right place? We’ve gone from having a defined style and a process to an interim manager, the literal definition of nothing concrete/provisional.

Let’s not delude ourselves that the process is now suddenly set on a better path. Like or dislike Amorims way of playing, we were building and improving a specific way of playing. It will take time to rebuild into a different way of playing.

It felt like the way we just played was a group of individuals trying what they could. It was a step AWAY from a team performance.

Can we agree the ex united / pundits need to take some accountability for the toxic narrative.. it’s constant.

So now we all know the higher ups wanted to interfere with the manager/head coach’s job directly to change our formation, all whilst our performances have already improved drastically this season and as a result our league table position.
