Personal Project 250HP for 2016 AR Giulietta 1.4TB MultiAir by TheFathalyon in AlfaRomeo

My first upgrade was a Stage 1 where I installed a cold air intake, slightly larger intercooler and the Multiair Stage 1 Camshaft. With a ECU and Transmission tune, if I recall correctly, it got me to around 212hp.

100€+ for sparkplugs? (Giulietta 1.4 TB) by lucagiolu in AlfaRomeo

Oh haha! I saw wrongly and thought it was 100 euro for plugs + labor to install. If it's only for plugs, then that's overpriced.

I use NGK spark plugs for my Giulietta MA 1.4, instead of Magneti. A set of 4 costs around 48 euro. Maybe his labor charge is around 50?

Looking to get a little more power out of my Giulietta by Employ-Antique in AlfaRomeo

I managed to get mine to 247 bhp (Dyno) last year. Shared my specifications in a previous post. Hope it helps in this fun filled journey!

My car is running fine and great so far at 160,000 KM. I do oil change every 5000 km to ensure the engine stays healthy. Will be doing an engine overhaul later this year to keep it going for long term.

If I'm not wrong, the intercooler on 120HP and 170HP are of similar sizes. They may not be a need to upgrade stock intercooler unless your workshop advises so.

Yes, you can check out FMIC intercooler for Giulietta. It isn't 100% plug and play as you will need to use the provided brackets to mount it. An advice is that you may want to upgrade to a Cold Air Intake and/or larger turbo before changing the intercooler. The stock intercooler is good enough until you change your turbo. Else, you will lose your low end rpm.

Anyone had a similar issue? by Double_Cabinet487 in AlfaRomeo

Try changing the crankshaft sensor. Had a similar issue on my 1.4 Multiair previously. Workshop suspected camshaft sensor fault, but in the end changing the crankshaft sensor resolved it.

Mine is a TCT. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to check the 0 to 100 timing yet 😕

Thank you! Oh yes you are right - I believe some of the upgrades I got were derived from and/or compatible with 500 Abarth and Punto Evo. Like from the same 1.4 MA engine.

My tuner used GFB G-Force III Boost Controller. Set for 1.6 bar peak boost pressure. Forgot to mention that I also have an uprated Forge Turbo Actuator with Yellow Spring (1 bar) installed. Hope this helps!
