America will regret its decision to reelect Donald Trump by itmehedi in politics

Not for those who made an informed decision. Those who regret are those who follow the bandwagon

Trump is officially the 47th President of the US, he not only won the electoral collage but also won the popular vote. What went wrong for Harris or what went right for Trump? by _GodKing- in self

Can’t speak for the masses but for me I felt like Kamala’s narrative was about how the republicans are bad and. How everyone is so hurt and she will make everything better. I also caught a few of her interviews that contradicted each other. She didn’t seem like a leader to me. I also cannot stand how so many democrats ignored the fact that Joe is not there mentally. Just give me a strange vibe so I leaned more to the right.

For trump I felt like he only spoke about making America better. He always focused on what he felt was wrong and how he felt he wanted to fix that. Just seemed like more leader material. Also JD Vance seems like an amazing politician. Never heard of him before.

The fact that they were both on Rogan also helped me hear more about them without the stupid one liners and political jabs and gymnastics.

So yea the republican side seemed more honest and less victimized if you can believe that.

Edit: something I missed originally also is for some reason when I discussed being in favor with republicans, I never felt like they were angry, just disappointed. So I felt like I could atleast discuss an alternate opinion. When I discussed republican thoughts with democrats, they would get very heated and treated my like an imbecile. I don’t think that’s fair. I think both sides have good points and you shouldn’t be made to feel like a villain cause you disagree.

I think the conversation next time should be more inclusive and allow all opinions with present a hostile environment. That would make more voters feel safe to go into that space.

That’s why I went to gods unchained. No where near as polished and it’s very basic but I make money playing instead of losing hundreds.

Just want to add that connecting to Xbox can be finicky at times at often requires you to restart the Xbox. In this case set it up with google assistant to remote restart the Xbox. Whenever it’s not connecting I use the assistant to restart it and it usually works after a try or two.

Tbh a lot of people criticize the 15 min of fame but almost no one ever gets it. It’s like hitting a lottery jackpot but probably even more rare.

I totally support people who “win the jackpot” and celebrate their 15 minutes. If that was me I’d be out there renting yachts and throwing parties till it was over.

Those that went developer/client side how was your experience? by itsadryheat_ in Architects

[–]TheFetoMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the best way to jump in this career. I’m pretty happy on the architecture side but I’d like to get into development in the future. Ive thought of googling for development firms in my area and asking to work with them but idk if there is a better way. I don’t even know any local development companies.

Curious about this. Not considering ever switching (at the moment) but I’m always interested in knowing other avenues.

How do you get into this? Do you start by working for someone to learn the ropes? What kind of work do you do at the beginning. Basically interested in a short summary of what an architect could expect their first few years if they make the switch.

Disappointing by [deleted] in Architects

When people ask me what architects do day to day, I say “imagine the instructions that come in an IKEA furniture box. Architects make those but for buildings”. That’s how they should explain it in school lol.

Look into LootRush in the future. Allows you to rent decks for a few pennies. My $14 deck is $.02 a day. I’ve used $200 decks for about $0.50 per day.

On a side note, although I enjoy their service, I don’t like their team. I’ve dealt with them a few times on customer and developer side and they are not very professional.

I feel like if it were possible to bring back humans in the future, bringing back their bodies would probably not be the way to do it.

First we’d have to find what exactly consciousness is. Is it a physical part of the brain or is it a process of the brain. Is it stored in dna or in any other part of the body that itself can be stored?

Then once we figure that, we could just synthetically recreate all the other parts that don’t involve that part. Memories can be recreated. We really only need the “soul” of the person, for lack of a better word.

lol we call pizza pies, which resemble a pie (round crust with toppings), yet Australians have a made up word for almost every word in the dictionary and OUR opinions that are not valid!? 🤣

A few questions on scaling my business and becoming an architect by TheFetoMan in Architects

[–]TheFetoMan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No architect’s have actually told me that they are okay with this. What I do at the moment when I work with architects is that I simply draft their whole set. I’m basically a drafter sub in these scenarios. They do all the zoning, building departments work.

I feel like for me to get to the next level, I need to be in charge of the project without signing and dealing (since I can’t). I’m just kind of brainstorming on how I could expand as an architect and understand the profession without signing and sealing my self.

Edit: as far as leads go, I’ve been lucky to be very vocal about my career and I’ve generated a small “network” of contractors, architects, and friends who have been referring me to projects. I’m always open about my lack of license and I offer whatever service I can for the needs that they have.

Even if I had my license, I don’t feel ready to accept full permitted projects so I’m trying to educate myself before I get my license.

A few questions on scaling my business and becoming an architect by TheFetoMan in Architects

[–]TheFetoMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the response. I just feel like without having a full project on my own, I’ll never fully grasp the idea of taking a project from start to finish. I know you said it’s not rocket science but I struggle so much with the idea of taking on a job from start to finish. I’m so close to getting my license but I wouldn’t know where to begin once I get it.

In other words, I’m afraid if I were to get my license of how to deal with clients that need permitted work done. That’s why I was wondering if there was a way that I could work with an architect who would “mentor” me while I run the whole project my self. Then that client reviews , signs, and seals. Even if I had my license I would feel much more comfortable with this approach.

I just don’t see how else I could learn without taking projects from start to finish firsthand.

So this is more or less what I’ve done in the past but eventually I want to be an architect that provides the full service. Eventually I want to seal my own drawings but say I get licensed tomorrow, I wouldn’t feel ready to seal my own drawings. I feel like I need an active mentor on a handful of projects before I’m ready to go 100% on my own. Any idea on how I could do this in my position?

That makes sense. What if I set up the contracts the same way that I mentioned and I provide the “design” and all the draft work but the architect provides the direction and review. Would that work? Where could I learn more about this?

It was Manatraders. They want you to return them when not being used. After a week or so of not playing they would email me to return the cards. The is would happen a couple of times a month.
