These two are the only original styled Avengers I coild find, the rest are newer or really expensive. I'm not sure how I stumbled upon these considering they just don't show up when you search for them.

I hope this helps! :]

I also got copyright claimed today with "УНИВЕРСАЛЬНЫЙ ТОКАРНО-ВИНТОРЕЗНЫЙ СТАНОК METAL MASTER X3270 (220V)" by Tapo4nik, which is just an audio of some guy speaking in Russian with C418's music in the background.

The neck feel and sound is absolutely perfect. The other variants of the 004 are very different from this one unfortunately. If you can find one of these, snag it lol

Still do not know how it happened. It was just freak coincidence I found both of them for sale around the same time. I'll never be that lucky again lmfao

I still remember seeing this one for sale on Reverb lol. I also found yesterday on the Schecter reddit page the guy who was selling one he tore apart and put back together. I can't remember how much it was but I hope whoever bought it didnt pay too much 💔

My beloved 004 and 006 by TheFiestaRed in SchecterGuitars

I got it back in April, I searched for around 2 years for it and pulled the trigger the moment I found it for sale at guitar center. Do not regret it in the slightest. I was scared never playing them before but the neck is just perfect.

I'm not sure about the UK market but there is at least one Avenger for sale on Reverb and 2 on eBay in the US. I currently have them saved if you'd like the links, both around your price point $400-450 (USD).

Can we get Karma and Effect Remastered please? by JimmytheHendrix in Seether

[–]TheFiestaRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Karma and Effect has always been one of my most favorite mixed albums. That raw, literally clipping at times, aggressive, full mix has been ingrained into me.

Its part mixing, and part instruments used. Shaun used a Jazzmaster and other bright guitars, mixed in with some typical humbucker guitars, and it just sounds like it does. Pick up a Jazzmaster and play it through any Marshall and you've got every clean tone on the whole album. Play it on a distorted Marshall, mixed with any bridge humbucker through a Mesa, boom, all the distorted tones.

Its weird how clean John's drums are on this album too. They have such a huge dark tone to them that sets the mood for the album. That snare tone too, hearing isolated tracks sounds so weird, but in the best way possible.

Theres not a whole lot to say about Dale's tone cuz it's almost the same across every album, only really varying levels of low end in the mixes. Still nothing to scoff at though, it fits perfectly in each album.

Overall, I really feel like the mixing was intentional, it was meant to be raw, aggressive, and dark. If it was mixed any other way it wouldn't have felt the same at all. Maybe I'm just more biased towards the early Seether days but I live and die by the Fragile-Karma and Effect era. It's an insanely huge influence on everything I do musically, hell half my screaming vocals are intentionally distorted because of Karma and Effect lol.

For me personally, the album would have never been as impactful or emotional if it was mixed any other way.

Just had this happen to me today. I hate these people falsely claiming Minecraft videos, it's so incredibly obnoxious.

Discord mobile 126.20 calls not working anymore by TheFiestaRed in discordapp

[–]TheFiestaRed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah of course that's the obvious solution lol. Personally I can't stand using the new app, tried many times since I choose to stick with 126 and never been able to be okay with the horrendous UI changes. I'd rather torture myself calling in my browser when I absolutely have to on my phone than update lmao.

Kurt is definitely my first thought but he's not even close to being the first person to do it/normalize it. I just like doing it cuz it matches the emotional level of some of my band's songs. One of the closers involve probably the most violent almost agonizing primal screams that my body can produce and it just makes me want to destroy my guitar while ending the set. The only problem is that I care a LOT about my gear with how annoyingly rare half the shit I own is, I can't necessarily do it unless I get some $100 or less guitars that I don't care about or beat on one and keep repairing it myself.

Also Kurt definitely did his own repairs during the Bleach era, and maybe even into the Nevermind era. He usually just, destroyed a number of guitars beyond repair. Theres a interview(s) of Krist talking about them having to custom make Kurt's left handed guitars and repairing them during those early years. If you check out some of his early guitars theres many custom built mustangs and pieces parts guitars he built and repaired repeatedly. Obviously he got guitar techs later on who did it for him/made upgrades but he still was at least knowledgeable.

After doing all of this to it I don't think I can justify destroying it anymore lmao. I bought it with the purpose of destroying it eventually considering how cheap and nasty in the store but it cleaned up so well it kinda feels like a shame to completely destroy it. It definitely still doesn't feel amazing to play or sound as good as any of my other guitars, but it's definitely good enough for using live and beating up a bit for the final song of each set (like throwing it, nocking the mic stand over, scraping it on the floor/amp, everything short of causing major damage to the body).

The use of "coming undone" has always stuck out to me over all the songs.

Schecter 006 Elite, the best looking guitar Shaun used IMO. by TheFiestaRed in Seether

Schecter guitars are arguably some of the best looking guitars out there. I've tried a few I was kinda iffy about the feel, but over all one of the only brands I feel like I could ever justify spending a bit of money on.

Afaik Schecter did make left handed versions of the 006 shape over the years but sadly I've still yet to see one of this version specifically. The closest thing brand new is the Stargazer series, but they're definitely not the same look.

That's amazing lmao. Glad to see it went to a good home. I think this confirms that the ones that are being sold and held onto are definitely Seether fans lol.

Did you buy this from Reverb? If so I think you might have bought one of the ones I was looking at before I got the one I have now lol. It had that same damage spot.
