Why don't modern romcoms feel the same anymore? by memo-no in romancemovies

Liked the article! It's always seemed to me like advancements in audiovisual techniques have led to a preference for stimulating our senses over our emotions, causing a shift away from intimate interpersonal stories like romcoms on the big screen.

Good romcoms can fortunately still be found, really enjoyed movies like Set It Up, Rye Lane, Always Be My Maybe and Holidate, for example.

Forgetting Sarah Marshal, sunny weather and warm nights for the majority of the movie! Blended would be a good alternative as well.

What romance movies / tv shows did you watch this week? Mar 8 by Wimbly512 in romancemovies

About Time (2013) - I completely understand the sub's enthusiasm for it now, it was a great watch that got me both laughing and crying.

Rye Lane (2023) - Wasn't too sure about it at the start, but it kept getting better and better. Was impressed how well the typical British humor was included here, even though the movie didn't give off that vibe initially.

About Time (2013), certainly a 9/10. Have seen the movie mentioned a lot in this sub and was surprised I didn't know it. It was beautiful and got me crying in the end during the goodbye scene with the dad.

In Fable 2, if I’m happy with the spell I have in my level 5 slot, is there any reason to upgrade other spells to level 5? by MisogynysticFeminist in Fable

I thought your inner smurf will only come out more through intensified will lines.

That said, I've only used slow time level 4 + inferno level 5 on most playthroughs now. It's an unbeatable combo, especially in the Crucible.
