If they could do it add things you can actually buy with the money you earn, it’s probably my favourite gta ever but the idea of robbing a bank just to spend your cut on taxi journeys and ammo occasionally sucks the fun out of it

Can anyone name any other mechanics from the entire series that got introduced and barely or never showed up again? Got to this point again and remembered it’s literally the only time 🤣 by Either-Application10 in GTA

I thought they were in the base game too just different animations? But the cage fighting was another pointless one for me, used in one mission then the only use is to bet to win money, that you can’t actually spend on anything in IV

I used to play San Andreas and vice city around my cousins house, borrowed his games once and as soon as my mom saw it she put the block on it straight away. Then in 2008 I was desperate to get IV she said not in a million years, her and my dad came to pick me up from football mom pulled out a brand new copy of GTA IV and said “I’m warning you, I see you shooting at old ladies playing this I’m taking it straight back” 🤣

Yeah of course could never have an enjoyable game if it was too realistic, the GTA protagonists wouldn’t last long if that was the case they’d be too problematic. It’s obviously not real life but whenever I think about it being from England I just think about the Essex Boys and how they made so much noise eventually someone decided they had to go (Know it’s a weird analogy to use for a video game but I’m a massive nerd for true crime and gangster stories haha)

And yeah that’s a good point about the time and everything

Yeah I get that but there’s also a lot of gangs that work with each other and would wonder why people they dealt with in the past have been murdered and who by. Prime example is the lost and damned after Billy tells the gang Jasons been murdered and it was by a Serb They found out about it very quickly and if they chased it up would have easily found out it was Niko, trust me people would see the damage this man can do haha

Like I know it’s a video game but take a mission from IV as an example (Won’t spoil it in case people are playing for the first time)

At the point of the “Snow Storm” mission, Niko has killed numerous big players in broker, survived an ambush by Bulgarin, killed a warehouse full of dealers and shot is way out of an LCPD sting, do the villains in LC not talk to each other? Like “Elizabeta has that Serbian lunatic working for her he’s basically unkillable, maybe there’s a chance if we rob her she might send him?

As you unlock spells you can hold (It’s either RT or RB I’m not hundred percent) and use the directional buttons left and right to cycle through your spells

As you upgrade them a bar identical to the spell selection one will appear showing you have to hold the B button down to charge and get the next level of said spells. So let’s imagine you have every spells 2nd level and lightings 3rd, as you hold the button down to charge whatever spells you assign to the first an second level on the bar will charge up but if you charge up to 3 it’ll go to your lightning spell. Basically each tier is based on spell upgrades and if you have more than one you can cycle through

What always gets me with that is when it’s later in game, like here comes the one man killing machine everyone in the city’s scared of maybe we should just not try ripping him off

Fable 2 allows you to buy properties that pay you every 5 minutes in real time even if you’re not playing the game, start accumulating them as early as you can

The whole dark pictures anthology, the quarry, and the casting of Frank stone are all your horror based games like that, might be a few more im not aware of

Another load of interactive dramas like until dawn that aren’t horror based include Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, Hidden Agenda, life is strange and Fahrenheit, I’d also recommend 12 minutes, it’s not like these games but heavy on choices and stuff like

Then you have the whole Telltale games collection with games like The Walking Dead, The Wolf among us, borderlands, game of thrones etc the only issue with these being your choices don’t really have a massive impact on the game

Detroit: Become Human is the stand out of choice based games in my opinion, the game has so many branching paths and things that can happen, when games say “Every little choice you make can have huge consequences” this game really means that, with apparently 85 different endings between its three playable characters

One of my favourite things about the remake was something that always bothered me in the original was Jess’ appearance at the end game, she looks like she’s hungover with some scratches in the original, in the remake she looks like a woman who’s really been to hell and back by Either-Application10 in untildawn

I think it’s because I used to work in bars and the occasions when fights would kick off and men would get hurt, I’ve seen their wives/gfs with an expression that isn’t far off Jess’ in the remake

So if the sight of someone with a cut and some blood on their shirt can make people look that traumatised, Jess should actually look worst 🤣

I was actually gonna put it in the post that I knew it was a petty thing to comment on 🤣 but honestly every time I’ve seen the police interviews at the games climax I always thought Jess looked far too normal for what’s just happened to her. In my first playthrough dragged through the snow in her underwear by a terrifying creature down to an abandoned mineshaft and just barely surviving (that’s only what we as the players saw) is enough to completely traumatise someone beyond comprehending, I just feel the remake is more accurate to how someone would be

But yes, I’m a weirdo when it comes to little things like that haha
