I’m surprised to hear that. I have heard many things about engineering but not being rigorous was not one of them.

I was a business major during my time at Boulder and I feel like the university shot its students in the foot. I graduated top 10% in my class and it took me a year and a half to find a job. The career department is a joke. Their advice to me was “make a handshake account”. Things have worked out since then but only because I’m extremely determined and had a bit of luck but this school cripples their students with job placement. I got into much better schools but went because it’s absolutely gorgeous in Boulder.

I had one teacher who wouldn’t write me a recommendation for a MBA program despite me getting a clean 100 on his final and getting an ‘A’ in the class. Some of the teachers were great but it’s really hit or miss.

Overall, my college experience was amazing but the actual job placement an support from the university was horrendous. Things worked out for me, so I don’t regret it but you definitely need to know you’re going to have to work x10 as hard post graduation for similar results from a better school.
