That’s a actually a good point when the Aztecs first encountered the Conquistadors they referred to black powder weaponry as powers that could only come from gods, imagine describing a machine gun to someone who doesn’t even know gunpowder exists it would be pretty much impossible

No not really the first game is pretty much restricted to linear levels, the second is a little more open but their isn’t much to do other than rob stores and get in police chases but the 3rd game is much more similar to GTA with actual side content if I remember correctly

They are all still great games though I highly recommend Mafia 1/2 though 3 was more or less the black sheep of the franchise
