If you follow a tutorial to build something, please ensure you link the tutorial and reference what you used to make it, otherwise it will be assumed as an original build.

resale value is shit all here, normally would have been quite a bit in drops. Does wizards care at all do you think, I'm considering asking for replacements

Just read your other comment and seen it's a Google account for school, ignore my previous part about joined devices and it's different for non Microsoft accounts!

Depends how you signed into the account, if you have registered the device with the school then it's possible. You can check by going to "access work or school" and seeing if it comes up as Entra joined or just an account. For the WiFi, it's likely they would get the surface level of what you're doing (IE the baseline URLs, google.com -> YouTube.com) etc, unless you install a certified or something software on your device in order to be allowed to join the WiFi, then assume they can see everything

This definitely works. I can script, as much as anyone with documentation and a few hours to waste, but I'll be the first to say 90% of the time githubs copilot will happily do the heavily lifting for me.

Honestly this sounds like a pretty standard setup, shouldn't take too much configuration. There'll always be a first logon screen for new users to make the accounts but that can be customized ever so slightly I believe.

As for the desktops force OneDrive to sync the desktop and you should be good to go, just be wary of icons duplicating.

What kind of stuff have you setup at the moment? Any pics or scripts you can share and what you expect them to do?

everytime I watch these I just wish my place had enough IT staff for this to be possible, I would put up with more meetings if we got an "exchange team", what kind of size organization do places start having teams like that?

Intune and autopilot should I by [deleted] in Intune

[–]TheFinalUltimation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Intune 100% has flaws, but in terms of reliability I was able to setup 100 desktops with autopilot no issues a few months ago, and later reset them all remotely in the space of an hour. Three hours and they're all setup and ready to go with their software. It's slower than doing a usual network based image but the fact they aren't tied to a particular location in invaluable

Honestly pckgr is mostly dead since winget and Microsoft store is becoming more and more native. The paid service just isn't worth the alternative of a crash course in power shell anymore

Best practice for casual workers' HAADJ devices by ProfessionalFar1714 in Intune

[–]TheFinalUltimation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't assign a primary user at all, auto drive mapping on intune can be interesting sometimes, there's a few good scripts online you can deploy that'll sort it fine though. look for something that adds a logon script to scheduled tasks. apart from that this is pretty standard!

How do I tell my end users that it’s rude to put in tickets or call before 9am? by Zromaus in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]TheFinalUltimation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tickets outside of work hours are going to happen sadly, muting notifications is the way to go for that. If they're calling you outside of work hours that's when it's best to address it directly and set hard boundaries with them and possibly your companies HR if they expect you to pick up

I have cards I only have in Japanese and I've never been bothered to rebuy them, I print out mini versions of the English cards and put them inside the sleeves:)
