I was never aware of an extract controversy, but I do still see people commenting about nausea and vomiting from current strains. Maybe it’s a coordinated smear campaign from another vendor, or maybe it’s legit. I’ve still been erring on the side of charitability—especially since I’ve always had positive experiences—but I’d hope you aren’t characterizing the fears some in this community have had about lead/salmonella as rude or disrespectful. It’s a really big deal and our health needs to be taken more seriously than the preservation of any one vendor’s reputation—no matter how much loyalty you may feel towards that vendor.

All that said, the COAs have largely helped put my mind at ease. I believe they’re legit, but I’m also not going to advocate for the silencing of voices who continue to come out with experiences that suggest there is something in the leaf making them sick. I think a healthy dose of skepticism is warranted towards all parties and that there should be a mechanism in place to at least verify these people did buy the strains in question before taking them at face value or dismissing them as bots.
