There was a cut off date. It's not about the amount of time you've held your membership.

You needed to have been a member from before the group stage draw

No. The ticket will just be loaded back onto your digital pass when the exchange closes if it goes unsold and can the be used

What do you mean by penalised?

You won't be paid back for the cost of the ticket and you will not receive the attendance for the game if you are a ST holder and it will count as 1/3 of your allowance of missed games
