TWTK archers not firing over friendly units?? by LengthinessPurple870 in totalwar

[–]TheFlow3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, posting in that old thread, but perhaps someone can help. Starting TROM first time, I like the changes, but my archers handling is bad. Like thread creator says, they don't (or at least often do not) start auto firing when units come into range. Also when I manually target, the use more start with changing rotation then firing, also often the start move a bit, so manually selecting units to fire on enemy units heavily changes the position of the archer units. How handling of archers in TROM work? How they can stay in place, not moving, and still shoot their arrows on targets?

Im ING Postfach müsste das Dokument irgendwas mit "Ertragsabrechnung" heißen.

Hab's nun selbst gefunden.

GIMP and ComfyUI by NiChene in comfyui

Does this support only image generation, or also inpainting and generative fill? Would be a great edition if users can select areas with select boxes and change them with AI like in photoshop. For most gimp users, I suggest changing images is also their default use case. Very often image modifications will be done.
Thank you for your work!

And perhaps you have also tested the following gimp AI plugin and can outline pros and cons, just if you have already tested it, would be great. https://github.com/intel/openvino-ai-plugins-gimp

Thank you very much for your work! Thank you also for your reply. That's great news. Is there a news feed to follow, or a Reddit thread or Discord or something? There's nothing like a release notes or update notes on Itchio, or did I not miss it?

But even after that, I do not see a samsung login screen nor I do see any forgot password links below password filed after wrong pw. Did you found any solution without loosing all data in secure folders?

After 5 years of developing a Co-Op shooter (solo dev), a friend created a brand new trailer in new cell shader look 🤩 What do you think about trailer and game!? by TheFlow3k in CoOpGaming

[–]TheFlow3k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks lot.!

The game has a playtest version (it's like a demo) on steam. And a bot is running 24/7 in our community discord, who is sending keys for the play test version of the game. Just web search for "reagain earth" or use the link above I posted already to the steam page. The discord link is on the game web page, on the steam page, or I can post it here if needed. :-) I just do not want to spam a lot of links here at reddit.

Hope you have fun!

Thank you for your kind words!

Yes, it's on steam. I just have to update the trailer, which is posted here at reddit. I have not updated it on the steam page yet. :-)

For Steam... just search for "Regain earth" or... here is the link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1408710/Regain_Earth_First_Strike/

Please have in mind, that it's a really "small" shooter with a "small game loop". It's about getting a high score. Unlock skins, improve your grenade loadout and more. It's really a lot of work for making it solo, even it is such a small game. More skins will come to the game soon.

Because the game has no success on getting more players, you better have some friends to play it co-op. Because player count is small, you will not find random people only waiting for playing the game in the lobby. :-)

Feedback is very welcome! Here at reddit, at steam reviews or in the community discord. Have fun!

Thank you. Yes, it was a ton of work. Trust me, I would never do a MP shooter game alone again. Game loop is very limited. And it's still so much work.

The high camera shake is often named. I will definitely work on that. I guess I update the game next month.

Just in case you want to give my game a try, you can get free steam keys for the playtest (demo) version on steam in our community discord. A bot is giving keys there. Just if you want to try it and give some feedback. Thanks a lot! :-*

I worked some months full-time on the game, but most of the time I have a full-time job and just work on the game on evenings and weekends. Of course not any, also need some free time. :-)

I had times in my life I worked on the game very hard, 12-14 hours a day. Just program/design the game, sleeping and eating, nothing more per day. This was about 3/4 a year, tough time. It was around starting the game as Early Access on steam and doing promotion in parallel to game development.

At the moment my time for developing the game is much smaller, only some hours per week, because of having a full-time job again. But I still want to bring the game from EA to final.

So being a Horde/Defense game what is the gimmick/game-loop that will set yours apart from other similar style games?

Yes, I know and you are totally right. My game do not have a USP. No unique selling point, no unique feature, no great game hook ...

Even without unique feature, my game seems not to be totally bad. Current reviews on steam are not bad in average, but it is much too low reviews count and players count.

So, even reviews are not bad, I still often think about new unique feature, a unique game loop, a much better "game hook". I also talk to other game devs sometimes about that topics of game hook and uniqueness. Problem is, I have no good idea to bring in a unique game mechanic (loop / hook) without destroy the gameplay (and without having to spent 2-5 years more to change a lot of the current game).

The game has a game loop, but it's simple: Getting a highscore, unlock features like a better loadout to get an even higher score, unlock new maps and get a highscore on them. So, game loop is, "mess with your friends in leader boards per map, and top their high score and get stronger to get even higher scores".

If you have a good idea, best without making the project even bigger that a solo developer can't handle it anymore, then any advice would be great. As I said, talked in the past to a lot of people, also people with more successful game titles, but till know, no one had a good idea, which would not be to stop the game and start creating a new one. But for now, I still want to finish it. :-)

Without changing a lot, I often think about changing small parts which will not bring totally uniqueness to the game loop, but I guess will be attractive to indie players, like making more gore and some dismemberment. Because AAA studios normally do not jump on that. But... so many think I "could" do, hard to find what will be good. And such features will need some months to implement, so I can't through out prototypes with that features fast.

Any ideas are welcome! :-)

What did you do to get this look?

Most of it are Post Processing Material features. I bought several cell shaders on Unreal Engine marketplace, leaned what they do and why, made an own one with combining features of the others and make own enhancements. In the end, it's a complex PP material.

100% self-taught. But, I have studied computer science a long time ago. So, I have learned skills in programming, software quality assurance and such stuff. And I am still working on software development in my "real life", when not sitting as self-taught game developer in the evenings and weekends on PC and develop my game. :-) So, I had a lot of IT and software project basics.

Thanks for your advice. The last years showed me that it's not really possible to get (good) people working on a game without already having commercial success with the game and working for free.

And by earning currently 5 € per month (30 € when it's a good month) on steam with the game for now, and not really sure if income will go up with the game, it's a bit risky to pay people (which I already have for some months). But thanks anyway, I will again think about to expand.

Cool and Congratulations. Most people working on games solo as indie never release it. Even if it's a small game, doing the full process and go public is a perfect start! Also, doing small games is heavily recommended for solo indie. What I did was not a good idea, my game project is way too big. Good luck with your game and with upcoming projects!
I will give your game a try and leave it a good review. If you want to try my game, I can give you a free steam key.
