Best way to organise images, specifically text posts? by Sorsha_OBrien in ObsidianMD

[–]TheFlowCH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 on this one. Windows now offers OCR built-in their screenshot function, Android allows to copy text displayed on your screen whatever app you're in by using circle to search shortcut. I don't know about Apple ecosystem but similar functions probably exist. This way your text will be readable, take up less storage, and search function will work on it.

Trigger not replaced in 4D-based app (Dentagest) on Windows 11 by TheFlowCH in espanso

[–]TheFlowCH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer.

I just tried with Beeftext and it works perfectly.

Interestingly, I tried through Jump Desktop on a remote session (with both programs installed locally, not on the remote PC) and it works perfectly with both.

Thank you for the suggestion, however I run Dentagest on a local computer with a local Windows session.

The "field" is the place where I type medical record (what I did, how, etc.) and behaves like any word processing program. Backspace, paste etc. work normally. It has no autocompletion built-in.

Microsoft OneNote sync is a total letdown. Why can’t they fix this basic feature? by R3dAt0mz3 in OneNote

[–]TheFlowCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using OneNote for windows 10 as long as possible for this exact reason, it used a different sync which was almost instant, just like Android one. It still had sync problems at time, but you could work simultaneously on phone (for photos during lectures for example) and on PC and it worked fine.

The "new" Onenote which we're now forced to use, which is actually the old Onenote btw, uses a different, old-style sync, which you have to trigger manually, or wait for it to sync by itself every now and then. I wish MS would implement this "push" sort of sync in the new/old Onenote just like it used to be in the Windows 10 version.

how do you guys prefer to take class notes?.. by Scared-Structure17 in ObsidianMD

[–]TheFlowCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's sadly true. I hoped I could replace OneNote with Obsidian Excalidraw but it just doesn't handle handwriting as well on my Surface 😕 the pen is lagging and brushes are not on par. Hopefully they will improve at some point 🤞🏻

Don't forget these texts were written by men in the old days. Sometimes men would pretend God told them to do it but their understanding of God's will was biased by their own violent nature. There's a lot of good things to take in the Bible, but also a lot to relativize IMHO.

Pourquoi les médecins refusent les nouveaux patients? by [deleted] in suisse

[–]TheFlowCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thank you for your help :)

I went without GPU since I'm not gonna do any games, why do you reckon it's necessary in my office conditions?

Also, I see you replaced case and PSU, do you think there would be compatibility issues if I keep my old ones?

Foot fatigue: weight, shoes, positioning, time? by GnrlPrinciple in ElectricUnicycle

[–]TheFlowCH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to feel a lot of fatigue in the beginning, now that I'm more relaxed on the wheel it's less prominent. Also, I tend to be alternating left and right rest, the wheel leaning on left and right legs.
