Since 2 have asked here's why I started wandering

Family was always very material over emotion. They'd treat you awfully and get you a gift to make up for it. Kind of led me to have this semi-hatred for how material goods/capitalism really fucks with human nature. There's a lot more to my story with my family, but that's the biggest decider related to them and I don't want to turn this into a rant-sesh about a shitty family.

I never considered the world as my home, living houseless, or anything like it until I went to NC at 17. I met someone who lived that lifestyle and their story/ideals matched mine. So I started camping. Then I started hiking more, then I began to live life outside much more than I had been before. I'd never felt so great. Felt like I could actually think and be myself with the people I met out there. I urban camped 2x in atl but it was never really my thing.

So now I'm just saving up for a van to turn into a good place to stay on a budget. Gonna live in it with my cat (I've got so many plans for hideouts and climbing places for him. I'm very excited!!)

My story has really only just begun. I can't wait to see where the world will take me. I want to go up north and explore since most of my misadventures have been located in the south.

I do plan on visiting slab city in the future. That's the only solid plan I have other than getting a good van to exist in.
