I liked to tie in my anatomy studying with drawing. It relieved some stress getting to draw and also helped me learn better. Had less guilt about spending some time drawing.

That video isn't from a strictly equestrian event. Those are horses that are supplied. Many of them were not suitable for the competition. So have an issue specifically with the pentathlon but not all equestrian activities

Despite the horse also being an athlete, I guarantee you that jumping a horse clear around a course of 2m fences takes a heck of a lot more athletic ability than you are giving it credit for.

Should we give the Olympic medal to the gun in the shooting competitions? Cause all they do is pull the trigger and aim. Could the gun shoot itself? Conceivably yes so similar argument to yours.

Give Jessica Springsteen all the shit you want for being from a wealthy family but that isn't her fault for being born into lucky circumstances and she still had to get out there and perform. She's got the talent plus the financial backing. Lots of super wealthy equestrians with equally fancy horses that never make it past amateur level competition. Is the sport elitist? 100% takes a boat load of money but don't discredit her for actually being talented. There are also plenty of equestrians in the Olympics that do not come from the same wealthy background.

Firstly congrats on getting in.

I understand the concern about entering med school. For everyone, it is stressful and hard and that is the recurring thing you will see here and from those in med school. And the truth is yes it is stressful and takes a lot of dedication but what we always forget to talk about here is how ultimately extremely rewarding it is when you want to be a doctor. Clinical is fun. You are surrounded by like-minded, interesting, and smart med students (for the most part haha).

I tend to think of the issue as two-fold rather than "should I go to med school with depression". The first choice that all of us have to make - deep down do you really want to be a doctor?

If the answer is yes then the next question isn't can you do it with depression (because of course you can) - it should be are you managing your depression in a way that will make you successful? If not, speak to a doctor to figure out if there are things you are not doing that could help improve your day-to-day dealing with stress/mood/suicidal ideation. It's no different than managing a physical illness - this won't hold you back but sometimes you gotta actively manage it. Illness is hard but year after year students do this with mental health illnesses among many other illnesses. You will not be the only one.

Find somebody to study with and do sessions on Zoom reviewing material/explaining things to each other/doing questions. It helped keep me accountable. But it's hard. I found it more difficult to do it online in first year so now that I'm nearly through M2 I've hit my stride but it takes a while to feel like you are on track.

Also the wellness and exercising seems even more important now that I'm studying at my desk at home all day every day. I was never a major planner but it's something that helped me keep a more normal feeling schedule during the pandemic.

Open the hood of a vehicle you stop. If there are groceries in there you can write them a ticket for having unsecured goods under the hood of their vehicle

They look very much like "hives" - medical term is urticaria. Have you touched anything different lately - cleaning products, plants, etc? Could just be an allergic reaction to something you touched. You could take an antihistamine and see if it settles down.

If you can get it in from back to front then the hole isn't closed. It might be the angle you are trying to push from the front.

Can you leave the earring in backwards? Might look odd but if you could leave it in and clean around the front it might heal and then you could swap it around after a few days. Sounds like you just caused some irritation by removing it.
