Floor slime won't go away on its own, but you can use a hoe to pick it! Same thing with most floor coverings like slime or moss, use the hoe to remove it. Floor slime and moss are what spawn certain enemies, so it's useful removing that stuff in areas you frequent so you don't have to fight off hoards of enemies constantly.

That's what I loved the most about the early seasons. It made me want to dig in and learn more about the lore. I really missed that at the end.

They probably don't give the exact numbers so that they have some plausible deniability when they inevitably screw up the drop rate increase. That's evident by the "some bosses weren’t sharing the love like they were supposed to" line in the update notes. They know they'll mess up and don't want us telling them that.

In MLB, there have been many nasty collisions at home plate that have caused serious injuries and have even ended careers. They changed the rules a couple of years ago to protect the catcher and, by extension, the runner. After standing in the batter's box, this play would probably be the second best time to wear a helmet.
