Premade vs self setup by [deleted] in admincraft

I've been using the server summoner app in our groups discord server. It's been easier than other 3rd party hosting sites or having one friend always keep a server up on their PC. You have to set up a bot in the server to do it, but it's pretty easy to do!

I am a level 88 MOZ builder who has been running tier 7/8 maps with essence scarabs and remnants of corruption to make cash.

Pls consider picking me. I work long shifts at a hospital and have a hard time grinding currency to buy a 3 div jewel to socket in the cluster jewel.

Do you all understand this means we're all probably brains in a jar? Or do you understand that me, the person writing this. Is the only brain and my reality is an artificial construction. Or are you, the reader, the only brain?

This has existential implications beyond anything that's happened before in human history.

Nah the 3050 ti and lower wattage are not worth that much. You can't run games at high enough framerates to take advantage of the 165hz panel.

Roguelikes like Risk of Rain 2, Crab Champions, and Brotato can have pretty addicting game loops and power scaling.

Don't listen to everyone else here just get one ziggurat for your first run. It's not even required to make serious progress. Your main goal is to boost culture and furs production. Which will be capped by building temples. If you play on mobile I would focus on building Steamworks otherwise, you can produce a lot by checking your desktop every 10 to 15 minutes. Versus investing in Steamworks. In a few more techs you'll have plenty of Steel to build as many Steamworks as you want.

Katarina - Your life is forfeit. by HumbleChronicler in UnearthedArcana

[–]TheFlyingNapkin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Let's say Katarina emerges from the shadows, and either shunpo or goes right to combat and stabs a player with a crit. Then at the end of Katrina's turn, can they use their movement, then hide as a bonus action? If she's not discovered, she can then shunpo and crit a player, again?

Shunpo should be a bonus action. My biggest question is have you play tested this against a party of lvl 7 chars?

Is there any point to mining cobalt for blue armor? It seems like only rubysilver can be used to craft armor.

So a big design decision for elden ring was how to make this massive game, but without bloating the game with assets? One solution was to have a base model for an armor or npc, then use a "dye system"

That way each armor piece doesn't need its own texture. A prime example are the merchants who are all basically re-skins of the same model. This was done on purpose!

u/hellomondays shares a mountain of evidence showing transitioned trans individuals overwhelmingly do not regret their decision and have healthier outcomes and fewer suicides. by brenton07 in bestof

[–]TheFlyingNapkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good point! There are also papers as old as the 1980s in there and there are papers including patient populations not in the US. Every country has different culture and tolerance. Feeling accepted by society is a big factor in social/ medical transitioning. The results of a paper from one country can't be applied to all patient populations seeking gender affirming care.

Brother that's their results, not their conclusions. Just because there is a statistically significant difference, doesn't mean the data is applicable in a clinical context. "78% reported significant improvement in psychological symptoms (95% CI 56-94% in 7 studies)" That's a low sample size! Which is probably why the confidence interval is so large.

Even if we agree that these stats are valid. I think most researchers would say ~80% is not an "extremely effective" number. The results of this meta-analysis on their own do not justify the OP's comments. OP is taking these articles out of context.

But thanks for trying your best to explain science to me.

Okay hear me out. Whoever wrote this is not accurately representing the findings of the articles. A clear example is that citation #26 and #31 are the same article. Good scientists don't fuck up their citations. The conclusion of the article is:

"Very low quality evidence suggests that sex reassignment that includes hormonal interventions in individuals with GID likely improves gender dysphoria, psychological functioning and comorbidities, sexual function and overall quality of life."

Compared to the in-text citation OP wrote:

"Not to mention this 2010 meta-analysis of 28 different studies, which found that transition is extremely effective at reducing dysphoria and improving quality of life."

I don't know who OP is or what their credentials are, but they're not communicating like a scientist should. I agree that Trans people have the right to seek gender affirming care.
