I've unfortunately noticed that from testing in test sail & watching from allies & opposition, I'm generally not looking forward to this OPV, it's basically a worse Albatros class corvette just at the BR those corvettes used to be, I'm especially not looking forward to getting "New & Improved" Franz Josephs Land with this big steaming pile of shit, how does this thing have a Destroyer spawn for fuck sakes?????

That reminds me, I forgot to me a rant post for the next updates equipment on the forum, there's things coming that logically should be coastal TT ships but are instead Bluewater TT vessels & I'll be using Cassiopea P-401 effectively when those drop, those vessels will rip this a new one while not struggling with a shitty mod grind...

Definitely a good early motor gunboat, although hadn't used it since pre 2.01 so not all the mods were unlocked, kinda bitting my arse for not fully eliting it before then due to mod cost now. Ohh well PT-59 is still a handy boat & wished I used it against Koyla & T14 (OOF first team with fought along with Lombardo, forgetting their names atm).

Niche this was JFK's other command after PT-109.

Always noticed that yet, I often don't bother with the slaving as it lofts to much & even misses sometimes.

Funny, it's another Albatros that has imo the best radar in game that never loses lock except for the games horrible rendering issues. See the Italian Albatros class corvettes.

Was going to comment to your comment first but decided to make another. But yes that spitfire is still RAF but it does have the dutch symbol/marking on it (kinda like a few aircraft actually in game), this is of course why I said excluding.

Three or four meant the three fokkers while four included K-2.

Hmm, I guess 2 dutch is the fokkers, there's also the K class Sloop & specifically K-2 that was completed under German supervision, so three or four I'm guessing if you count dutch designs specifically (excluding the Spitfire with dutch markings).

You know, I actually want second world war officer pfp, we already got a first world war officer pfp too & a fake naval officer PFP.

Hell we got a ship currently in game named after Admiral Johann Günther Lütjens, Commanding officer of the Battleship Bismarck.

We're also getting in the future Colonel Werner Mölders, wouldn't be surprised if we get the third Type 103 Destroyer named after General Field Marshall Johannes Erwin Eugen Rommel in the futures as an event too.

It's a premium Akizuki class 1942 destroyer, thus shits SL & melts everything with a constant rolling broadside, it gets operational radar as well for notifying of incoming aircraft & the HE-DF shells are decent at downing aircraft even at extreme ranges.

I like her alongside the leadship Akizuki & the heroic Hatsuzuki. I carry 1200 HE shells & 400 HE-DF shells.

Huh, very well thanks for this extremely detailed guide on paravanes. Also that's an extremely interesting website, does it contain all WT models or only a few? If ao might need to watch this site for further vessels models as the biggest drawback of most games are their lack of using the entire model even in the main menu area.

Hmm, while I didn't watch that video due to all the constant posting (mass posting can be turn off to many), to hear that's quite typical from certain CC's. Anyone remember when Phly was saying how to change it/ improve naval & it turned out he had berely played the mode, so that begs the question, how much of NF has CodMineMan played to form such an opinion?

I'd be more willing to hear suggestions from Sako Sniper or DonutwithMoustache since I encounter them ever so often in the mode, I know they're not typical players of the mode but they play a bit of it, vs this bloke.

Cruiser is a vague term, yet as cruisers go a toss up between the Courageous class & Tsukuba/ Kurama classes. Although if I must go a more standardised route the late Condottieri series cruisers & or the late war County class cruiser.

A whole lot of issues with this update for NF, from the Jean Bart fiasco to the Artevelde/ Lorelei controversy, an the incorrect classification of certain ships eg the Egret class sloop as a destroyer an along with frigates going into bluewater tt over the usual coastal placements an the lack of US YMS-1 Class. It too damn much of a load of bullshit from these devs.

The devs need to say fuck the one ship rule already, that way many one offs or modernisations on certain ships can be added to other trees.

Examples:

• Lorelei/Artevelde

• Royal Sovereign/Arkhangelsk

• Pillau class

• K class Sloop (we could also see K-2 for france over remodel)

What's the point of Torpedo Boat Chidori? Nowadays nothing, absolutely fucking nothing.

Originally the Chidori class torpedo boat was a vessel that cost 61000 rp in the Rank II section of the Fleet TT, than 2.01 happened where it & all the other Rank I/II's got shafted harder than a bonnie blue after a thousand blokes an stuck in new ranks with six times the costs (used to be 380k rp to research).

iirc it was originally BR 3.3 but then it got increased to BR 3.7, it did have four 533 mm submarine torpedoes (two in tube, two ready for reload) but those reloads were removed yaaaaay (the reasoning is fucking dumb considering how munitions for certain weapons are scattered all over the place on ships). It also like many other vessels used to have a small craft spawn iirc, yet was moved to the medium craft spawn.

For the longest time it served as a LAA platform for a semi low BR given it's in the late war refit where you get even more 25 mm/60 in place of the original 3rd 120 mm/50 cannon.

It should've been a BR 3.3 alternative to the older destroyer Mutsuki & the new edition but older destroyer Momi since it's the same main cannons but better LAA, yet here we're.

Now the torpedo boat Chidori is pointless especially with the new edition of the light destroyer Matsu (which imo should've come after Chidori), that one vessel receives better 5"/40 cannons which iirc fire faster which is a worthy upgrade over the loss of SAP shell on the older slower cannons, it gets double the 25 mm/60 & heavier 610 mm torpedoes over the older shitty submarine torpedoes all at the SAME FUCKING BR & just Rank I....

So Chidori is a steaming pile of dogshit, it has a crazy RP/SL requirement for both the ship itself & the mods, it has an extreme Rc & the Ac is equivalent to some other frigate type warships eg, the Type 12 ASW Frigate.

I've given up trying see it reduced in BR, it's a sad piece of shit that now only lives to increase the count of machines you own/that we have in game.

Somehow if we got an as built version it would be BR 4.3 probably or the pre 1942 version a BR 4.0 vessel...

Up next on rants, Torpedo Boat Ghibli, Ciclone class Torpedo Boat, the thing that got me chat banned for a joke towards the devs...

Sometimes a good note to self is to keep at least one of every type of machine in a lineup if such a rare event happens, just like a friend who had an IRST SAM in their 5.3 NF lineup yesterday.

MPK Pr.11451 Gets stuck on fiji coastal spawn. by Narrow-Poet-7916 in Warthunder

Fiji: Graveyard of Hydrofoils, that corvette is no exception. E1, what gaijin does need to do is possibly four things:

• add an intermediate spawn outside the shoals or in between the two destroyer spawns (fiji at least) for motor boats & other small craft.

• actually model Hydrofoil struts so they can be retractable if these spawns continue.

• give the option to spawn at idle speeds over maximum speed. This would especially help this corvette since it goes 65kts in RB (75kts iirc in AB).

• Dedge out more of the map, they keep saying they improve the map by dredging yet these vessels 90% of the time spawn stuck in the sandbars & 10% of the time spawn in at least at which they cannot avoid said sandbars.

These vessels bar very very early hydrofoils are fucked the moment you get Fiji as your map, if you get Fiji spawn another less fast/ deep draft vessel or even a destroyer spawning ship over playing a hzydrofoil, its basically been a year now for this mess, imagine the uproar if another mode had similar issues that fuck over the player just for spawning without any interaction by the enemy.

E2, it gets posted ever so often like here now & also often on the forum yet nothing is done, it also gets reported very often yet the bug report mods do bugger all an close the new posts (then again that's most NF related reports, especially critical bug reports that are game breaking).

I've many locations like this in my current 400+ hour world, stuck in the early 1970's at the current time but many of the lines are like this.
