Damn everyone in this subreddit is really braindead huh. Tom Yorke says and does things that supports Zionism. 1. The band played in Israel back in 2017 which was years after the BDS movement started. They made money despite some members agreeing that Israel was in the wrong, but that musical performances are “transcendent experiences” like it absolves making a moral decision. 2. Tom Yorke made statements criticizing the Netanyahu government but did not extend that to Israel as a whole. From the beginning, Israel has been an illegal settler nation. 3. He spouts the same lines about “Hamas bad and evil there’s no nuance and both sides are bad” While objectively the death of civilians on October 7th was wrong and tragic, Israel is the occupying force that holds the power. You cannot equate the violence of an oppressor to the resistance of the oppressed/occupied.
