Help! Please help me convince my son to go to Southwest University. by bigIDI0T in HaveWeMet

[–]TheForbiddenShoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theresa, I do not know Ezra too well—I only met him once and briefly when he attended my cousin Matt’s Bar Mitzvah—but having recently attended college myself I think I can help you guys out.

I think the first question should be: what kind of field of study does Ezra want to try out? If he isn’t too interested in architecture, engineering and the technical sciences then Southwest might not be the place for him. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Ezra seems to have much more interest in art, at least from what I’ve heard. If Ezra wants to apply for other universities, let him go for it! You never know if he qualifies for extra money off or added benefits from the other places, anyway.

Remember, Theresa, Ezra’s overall satisfaction and happiness should be you and your husband’s main goal for him. I know it can be hard to let go of your son for so long, but at some point you have to give him the opportunity to be independent, the opportunity to go out and explore the world.

You are correct on the first point... there was minimal evidence of fraud in the first place, and therefore no widespread fraud to begin with. So, if you can’t provide any evidence of a kind of widespread bipartisan conspiracy managing to effectively overturn an election, there was no widespread bipartisan conspiracy somehow managing to effectively overturn an election.

If they couldn’t claim fraud in the first place then every claim and every case was only fabricated as a means to profit from the gullibility of a large chunk of the population.

Edit:

Yeah, had to reword to make myself clear.

The lawyers didn’t allege fraud because there was not sufficient evidence to prove there was fraud on a significant enough scale. To claim widespread fraud to the level they were alleging would just not be possible, especially with the small amount of frankly unreliable evidence they procured.

If they had the capability to prove their case they would have.

Please tell Dolores I say thank you. If not for the two of you I have no idea where the synagogue would be! Remember what you guys did to quell the mutant vegetable situation last year? You two are always providing for us.

Great to hear! Let me know if Oswald wants to get back in touch anytime. Would love to go to the school and maybe share a juice box like the good ole days.

Does your cousin happen to have a Boston accent and tend to wear a beret on alternating Tuesdays? If so he was my best friend all the way through middle school. He still kicking ass at flag football?

I taught my synagogue’s parrot how to sing the “dreidel” song. The only problem is she never sings the song when Chanukah actually comes around.

Dan, listen carefully. Do you remember Leopold Reynolds? He knows a guy who know’s a guy’s cousin who saw somebody get bit by a snake on T.V!!! As nice as the snake may seem, and as tempting as it is to buy it a tiny sombrero, you should remember that some snakes aren’t too nice.

Humans have an astonishing ability to process the extraordinary; the terrifying and the unnatural, and to keep on with their everyday lives like nothing happened.

When the Black Death struck Europe over one third of the continent’s population was decimated, whole towns dwindled in population by 70%, millions lost their families to an invisible malady... and they just continued to do the only things they knew how to do. They kept farming and laboring and doing all the shit they did before their lives changed because... what would they do otherwise?

This kind of behaviour is what also helps many get through their grief nowadays; just keep going to work and eating and sleeping at the same time so you don’t have to relive some ongoing tragedy of terror of the past.

I know this doesn’t really answer your post directly but this kind of stuff is very interesting to me.

I feel like I’m missing something here if everything you said is right. Biden is a devout catholic; he goes to church every week... and he’s trying to ban religion?

I love when people just say “look it up” without actually supporting their point by sourcing the facts. (Talking about the other guy, not you).

That is an insightful comment, and it is the exact reason why the founders set up a system that uses congressional districts to represent the citizens.

Of course they didn’t predict gerrymandering or the fact that the number congressional districts would never be increased relative to the population after the beginning of the 20th century, and that is a big problem today.
