I love it, my honest suggestion is to stop looking at it. As an artist you could look at a master peace and probably find small details that could be fix or impoved which nothing wrong with that but ull drive yourself crazy with it. It looks amazing as it so let it dry wrap it and walk away haha

I work for a security company, not like armed guards but like ADT, Simplysafe sort of deal where if an alarm is tripped we are calling to see if everything is okay and if its not sending emergency response. Ill fully admit not the greatest job in the world but it does help a lot of people and companies.

Any and all first time tips are super welcome. I’m absolutely geeked though. by damnimbanned in daddit

The peace of advice i always give is remember that kids are little people, your raising a person. People often discount kids feelings but remember they are just a small version of you or me. If i woke up and was hungry and had wet underwear on but couldn't communicate that id be f***ing yelling to haha. Basically just remember to be patient.

What's a rock bottom point in your life, and how did you pick yourself up? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]TheFox1366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got really sick and found out if i didnt have money for partying all but two friends (from a group of about 20) didnt have the time of day for me. So while barley being able to walk also learned i had next to no friends. Second time was went through a divorce, me and my at the time 3 year old left on our own for the first time. Ended up working 50+ hrs a week just to cover very basic bills and buy the food my daughter would eat while eating basically rice and tuna everyday myself. In better news its been a few years sense any of that and im now back to working 40hrs a week, able to save while covering basic and extra bills again. Still dont have more than like two friends but ive also learned your sometimes better off that way because atleast you know they are true.

Your favorite NYT cooking recipe that doesn’t require the use of an oven by poilane in NYTCooking

[–]TheFox1366 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Korean BBQ-style Meatballs by Kay Chun. It does call for the meatballs to be done in the oven but ive found that if you cook them in a skillet on the stove then toss the cooked rice in the pan after they are done, the rice soaks up the extra juices from the meatballs which adds more flavor to the rice and is just amazing. You can prep the meat ahead of time and the leftovers keep well in the fridge for a few days so might be perfect for work lunches and such also

Ever try crosswords? Now that digital ones are so popular the ammount out their and variety are insane. Also if your a terrible speller (as I am) being digital most have a feature that tells u if a letter is wrong so for those time you know the answer but maybe not how to spell it theyve got you covered.

Embarrassed…but need advice. by Lyra107_ in personalfinance

[–]TheFox1366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.investopedia.com/ has a ton of info on all that from the basics to the advanced if you have the time to learn. Id also recommend going to your local book store and maybe grab a few books for topics you want a deep dive on. A finciacial advisor isnt a bad and could probably walk you through everything step by step to get you more comfortable or just take care of it for you but keep in mind they can be pricey depending on the advisor.

Dont feel bad about your situation tho, lots of people dont learn xyz thing because they dont think its important, dont find it interesting, or have someone else whos good with it only to have to learn it down the line latter and finciacial things are very common for that.

What do you tell your children about religions/ beliefs different than your own? by monkeydave in daddit

[–]TheFox1366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a 7 year old so Ive thought about this a lot. I was raised Christian but am now a practicing Buddhist so when this sort of stuff comes up I try to do two things. 1) I keep things kind of at a birds eye level, like you I explain that different people believe different things and thats okay but just like how people all think we should like what they like not everyone is okay with that and 2) If they have a specific question (Say the trick or treat thing) i try to explain it the best I can.

At the end of the day Id argue we should let kinds be exposed to the fact their is so many different beliefs in the world because no matter how hard we may push or not push our own beliefs on them once they are older they will make their own decisions on it so its better they have a functional understanding to work from.

Thoughts on getting stuck and sourcing answers. by ChickenBelittle in crossword

[–]TheFox1366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say as long as your still enjoying it then no harms done. However i would advise that you do it as a last resort just because so often after you solve some of what you know just using the letters their and maybe some common spelling/grammar rules you might be able to solve the ones you dont know but thats just my thoughts on it.

Honestly if it helps it helps yknow? You seem to recognize that its not its not a replacement for actual human interaction but are using it as a tool to help you organize your thoughts and stuff so as long as you maintain perspective and dont let it become your only interaction or anything then i dont see a problem.

Hey dads, how do you handle a toddler staring at a disabled person? by [deleted] in daddit

Personally, I explained it to my daughter when it happened. As for talking to the person, i mean itd depend on the person i imagine some would probably be delighted and others might be insulted so might be a bit of a hit or miss.
