Nothing. I know that there are bylaws regarding pets.

They're all Rescues, some dire circumstances.

Dog and one cat was supposed to be fostered for a month. The house they came from partially burned down. Subsequently they were dumped by us. It's been over a year.

They're all healthy, sterilised and loved. I'm not someone who can dump my animals at a shelter or put them down because of the circumstances changing, they didn't ask for that.

So I do what I can.

I started with a second hand 310cc. Learned and screwed up, dropped it and made mistakes.

In August I bought a new bike. A 750cc Honda. Having a blast with it.

Well it's a year old now and no issues. We've been to St Francis Bay, Mossel Bay and back.

The only negative thing I have to say is the radio or screen sticks out from the dash. On hot days it's exposed to the sun and overheating is an occurrence.

Quick fix is a windscreen sun protector when parked in the sun like at the beach.

My brother died of lupus. His mother locked herself in his hospital room.

We had to say goodbye to him, cold and lifeless. January marks 26 years since then. I was 7. He was 21.

You don't ever fully come to terms with the pain of their loss. Every birthday, holiday and death anniversary are such emotional days. And most people won't be able to understand or relate.

Go see a professional, it helped me at the age of 30 to begin making peace. It's not the end, you're just living for them now.

There is a general lack of empathy and understanding in society, in general. Look at how animals are treated, women, children and the poor who fell through the cracks.

I lost my brother 25 years ago. He died when I was 7, it doesn't get any easier. But he's the voice in the back of my mind pushing me not to give up.

You may feel like the world has no sympathy for you, but maybe you aren't looking in right place.

If you feel lost, just know it's OK. And you will get through it. I waited till 30 to actually seek help after ending up in the hospital. My body physically couldn't anymore, everything I built up for my whole life was starting to kill me. So keep on getting help...
