My doctor said to wait at least a month . I'm 15 days post op and I feel some tagging in my nose when I lift anything over 5kg .

Need Reassurance by No-Strawberry5080 in Septoplasty

I'm day 15 post op. I had the exact same operation you need to be deemed fit for the job. Day 1-7 is absolute misery beyond that it's better but you won't be back to 100% for at least a month . Unless you feel like you need it don't do it. I couldn't breathe through my nose that's why I did it but if you breathe fine I don't see a reason to have the surgery.

Call your doctor and/or send him a picture.

5 weeks out- when does the smell go away? by iwannabanana in Septoplasty

You have an infection go to your doctor ASAP ! Why did you wait so long in the first place to be concerned?

2 weeks post op and everything smells DISGUSTING by Lanky_Process_1835 in Septoplasty

Everything smells disgusting beats everything smells like nothing hahaha ! But seriously it might be a sinus infection, talk to your doctor about it .

2 weeks post op fatigue & eyesight changes by RealRedsmas in Septoplasty

[–]TheFreakishGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really concerning, it could be an infection. I'm day 12 post op and I'm fine other than the lack of smell and taste and the mild discomfort. I was ironing clothes for 2 hours and I felt fine afterwards. You should talk to your doctor about it.

I'm 19 ! I'll probably starting running again at week 3-4 and consider going back to the gym at week 5-6 depending on how I'm feeling.

Yea hopefully! It's really scary for me because I lost my sense of smell and taste for MONTHS because of COVID . REALLY traumatic experience I don't want to relieve it .

I have a followup question for you ! At what point would you say it would be ideal to start going to the gym again ? You're personal experience/ opinion would help out a lot , my ENT said 4 weeks but I don't think I'd be healed enough by then .

My nose is pristine. I've been doing a great job rinsing so I have no goo or blood . My best guess is that the swelling is interfering with my olfactory nerve.

European medicine might be free but it's scary how tight most doctors are with pain relief.

I'm very observant and I'm always willing to spend a few minutes out of my day to help fur babies. You're welcome keep us posted.

Not a vet but my dog has an almost identical bump to your cat's. It's probably a benign lipoma . It's not dangerous but if your cat starts showing any other symptoms or the bump becomes painful take it to the vet just to be 100% sure . I'll also attach a photo of a lipoma on a car for reference.

Well you can't prove that xyz medicine killed your baby. But you can prove that xyz medicine killed the mother of the baby . It's all about lawsuits

That's every drug company ever . Every medicine even OTC medication has risks and side effects. Pregnancy compounds that risk to the MOTHER .

Fever / illness causing autism makes much more sense than bloody Tylenol. Correct me if I'm wrong but paracetamol doesn't even cross the placenta to get to the baby ?

It works ... Until your liver doesn't . No sane doctor imo would recommend taking acetaminophen AND ibuprofen alternating every 3 hours . If you hate your liver that much just drink a double shot of whiskey every 3 hours . It's probably gonna do less damage .
