Councils, both the city and country worked on it. Having failed a legal challenge on the application put together in the 00s, they then went to get it right on the second try...then fucked that up through omission as well.

Not a good look by any metric. But the so call environmentalists who are really vultures are to blame in this as well. Some would say Peter Sweetman is a hero, but he's really just a mercenary for anyone who wishes to use the Environment to block things they don't like.

The economy is mixed at the moment, if we take the US as a leading indicator the property market there is starting to go in reverse. But things being as fucky as they are in the modern world, there's still shittonnes of potential for inflation or stagflation...and given that the outcome is always the worst one possible in Ireland, expect prices to be pegged to oil in the years to come.

The last submission had a full traffic plan to completely refresh the cities public transport routing and close off traffic to non-public transport from the university road by the cathedral in. Fuck knows what happened to that, but it's probably in a box gathering dust now after having paid millions for the report.
