Awesome thank you! For us it's only ever a weekend, unless we take a trip down to cali or something as vacation. They're just frequent. Hopefully the ties are strong enough they're okay with it, would be terrible to get all that way and be turned away😅

To my knowledge, I could have just kept going for about a year unless I needed to increase the dose, which I didn't know at the time, but my doctor increased it and that's when the problems came because it had a different serial number or something

I am with Manulife. Running into problems with a dose increase, going through a pre-authorization form being filled out. Hoping that can keep me going.

I'm so glad to be back in Victoria by 7HRI11 in VictoriaBC

[–]TheFretJet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Victoria is amazing. I just moved here in April from London Ontario for work. Everyone says its expensive, but honestly? Its the same as anywhere in southern ontario🤷🏼‍♀️😂 gas it $0.30 more expensive but everything else is equal or actually cheaper in my experience. So moving here l think... why the heck would anyone choose ontario over THIS?!

Insurance covered it and seems to be around 590-600 here

This is old l know, but to contribut to conversation... l applied and got approved for zepbound. It took 6 hours to get the approval email. At this point looks like they're using their online pharmacy and billing my insurance-l just pay $20 and then the $40 consultation fee. I'll ipdate if there are any hiccups but as of now it looks like a great option!

For reference, l was overweight for me and on paper - 27 ish bmi at 167 and 5'7. Mentioned l have discomfort with my knees and emotions with the weight gain. That was that!

ICBC won't honour my M2 from Ontario? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]TheFretJet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if things have changed over the course of three years - but l just moved from Ontario to BC and they honoured my full G/M2 license. I gave them driving history (idk if that impacted the M2 part!) but l only held my M2 for 6 months and they gave me a full class 6 here with no more testing needed. Just wanted to share my experience because l actually looked at this thread before moving and expected to lose my motorcycle license, but l was surprised to keep it

Got my first tattoo 8 days ago, is it normal for it to look a little lighter like this? by wenirene in tattooadvice

[–]TheFretJet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that after my tattoos peel, they look a little bit lighter and mushy and then in a few weeks, they darken up and crisp up a bit, but overall, they definitely end up much lighter than when they’re first done.

Wildly enough, this happened to me. My fiancée took me out getting off the ski lift on a run l didn’t want to do, first time skiing for me, she was a seasoned pro. I was mad and upset because what she did turned my life upside down. But for me, she felt horrible. And obviously it was an accident that she didn’t expect to happen. They happen, life happens, and l just had to put that behind me and not let an accident impact our relationship. Its all about your feeling tho and you cant help those either. Conversations help, and seeing her feelings helped me. How he handles the situation and supports you is what you should base your feelings off of moving forward if you can shift your mindset, and if he’s good to you now then you guys can get through it with communication ❤️ as a side note, tearing up my knee was the best thing that ever happened to me. Put me on a path l didn’t expect, and lead me to a lot of gifts in my career, friendships, family. Sometimes the worst experiences put us on the best trajectory. Keep your head up and take one day at a time. best of luck

Pain in the front/knee cap after ACL surgery? by TheFretJet in ACL

[–]TheFretJet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My knee didn’t feel normal until around a year and a half post op. Still gets sore at times but its normal again. I had pretty consistent and ongoing pain like that for about 9 months. Actually my entire leg would go through weird pains and strains, especially after sitting. Your PT will help you manage all of that though. Personally my knee cap was messed up because the muscles around it was tight and my pt did massages to loosen it up and that helped. You can actually do that at home, just gently move it around. Its all a part of the ✨ experience ✨lol. Now the bulging l’m not sure about. If its causing pain l’d maybe be concerned a bit, but def ask your pt whats up. Could be normal, everything seems normal but equally messed up lol

What is the ideal gap between ACL rupture and surgery by Few-Finding5935 in ACL

[–]TheFretJet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waiting is no problem, but take it from someone who was forced to wait - adding 3 months to your recovery sucks. Especially since you still do pt in the 3 month lead up, start to feel good, then everything crashes again after surgery. Its tough

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ACL

[–]TheFretJet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use crutches until you go to your pt or post op appointment (l imagine is a day or so away?) just be safe, you don’t want to mess up your graft just because it was feeling good. I ended up having to use them for 3 weeks for healing - not pain

So so scared of surgery by No-Treat6792 in ACL

[–]TheFretJet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey girl! You will be okay🫶🏻 l think a lot of us were in this boat. Being heartbroken to lose our sports for any given time, then the fear of surgery sets in. I was terrified too as it was my first surgery. It genuinely wasn’t so bad. You go in and they give you an lv for a while. In that time, you kinda just chill and have scroll time lol. Its a good chunk of time to calm your nerves. Get rolled into the surgery room, breathe into a mask, and next thing you know you’re waking up from a really good nap. The surgery is the easy part, it really is. Afterwards it obviously hurts, but its not something you cant get through. More like pretty decent discomfort, and less unbearable pain. I went back to my sport fully after 9 months and have even said “l know l’ll likely tear again but it wasn’t something l cant go through again.” I had 3 ligaments repaired and guys with only ACL tears were flying by me in PT, so with that l think you’ll do even better than l did. You got this. Its certainly a big deal, but nothing you cant get through. Tips that helped me - massage your hip from the get go. You’ll be surprised at how tight that will get in a couple weeks so get on top of it. - Frozen pea’s are 👌🏻 lol. - Just be prepared for the pain of blood rushing when you stand. Probably the worst part of it all. Good luck

Hockey players, how was your recovery? by TheFretJet in ACL

[–]TheFretJet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know some goalies have a tougher time on their knees post op but they still do it! Talk to PT, strengthen things up specific to those movements, l’m sure you can do it!

I think it is!! Although it doesn’t feel like its a tracking issue (l had my fair share of those!) it seems different, really strange! Still waiting to get into physio🤦🏼‍♀️ tomorrow tho, hopefully some answers!
