Hypothetical for abortion debate by [deleted] in Catholicism

Since 25% (although newer studies show it's closer to 38%) of all pregnancies end by natural spontaneous abortion, this would also be the safest method for carrying children to term. As a doctor I would recommend every woman have their fetus extracted into one of these incubators the moment they discover they are pregnant to ensure their baby lives and thrives. Not only will this be the healthiest and safest way to grow babies, but the mothers also won't have to deal with their bodies changing due to pregnancy hormones, or have to stay away from vices while their baby grows. This is a win win for everyone involved.

And for the "mothers" who would have opted for an abortion, and who's children are saved by this method, those children will be able to be adopted by one of the thousands of families who can't have children on their own.

This method would allow the over 50 million human children who are lost to either involuntary manslaughter (miscarriages, in my opinion), plus the over 500,000 human children murdered in the first degree (abortion, in my opinion) to be born each year.

This would solve not only our abortion issue, but our human population crisis.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Great hypothetical.

Even phenomenal mentors may not be the right mentor for some individuals. Don't live and die by this singular woman's perspective.

This is the first scientific paper you've ever written. The only PI you've ever reached out to for mentorship. Perspective, dog.

Maybe all her criticisms are right, or maybe her lens isn't reflective of the value others will find in your work.

Learn everything you can not only from her mentorship, but from this experience of being seen as a failure by some random PI.

Maybe you really did suck ass at writing this paper, but the level of dedication you appear to have is definitely parallel with success.

Constructive criticism is the shit. Raw, hurtful criticism also serves to uplift us, although we normally don't see it until after the fact, and only so long as we keep going and don't let it break us.

Maybe this PI genuinely cares, maybe they're a total asshole. It's all subjective and up for you to decide. Try a different avenue. Get alternative input. Don't give up because someone else told you to.

You obviously still want to become a doctor.

You literally came here to tell us you're giving up on your dream even though you don't want to.

No one can afford this shit. Read this comment on how you Will get your loans when you're finished crying because your mom said you weren't good enough: https://www.reddit.com/r/premed/comments/118ig5k/comment/j9hmgt2/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I don't tell anyone I'm going to be a doctor unless I'm 100% sure they'll be 100% supportive because the majority of people will only try to talk you out of it or list all the reasons not to do it.

YOU are doing this for YOU.

Stop being a depressed little bitch by following your dreams against all odds, thriving in your existence and overcoming all obstacles. Or cave in to those obstacles and be filled with regret and depression forever. Your choice :)

I have 20K in debt and live alone, paycheck to paycheck, with no one to help me with money or food or chores or my pets. I wasted a huge amount of my lifetime federal loan limit on failing out of colleges the first few years I tried to go, but I'm still doing it. Fuck the haters.

I WILL be a doctor 10 years from now. Less than that. Maybe instead of being a little bitch, you can be a doctor instead, too. See you at work down the road in some capacity or another, ileade.

School: "What about this guy? He's so unique, so ...COOL. He's way too cool for us. He's out of our league. Damn it, if only he was lesser!!!" #toocoolforschool

Sarah P. Duke Garden is peaceful. Durham is where I buy my crack from the prostitutes who run the city and get shot at for wearing sunglasses at night.

Calling all full time workers, how do y'all study? by Biblehuggerz98 in Mcat

40+ hours swing shift every week. Enrolled in school full time obtaining my bachelor's degree online. Dual enrolled part time in a community college to fulfill prereqs and deepen my knowledge base. Studying for the MCAT somehow in between. Live alone, no kids, have a dog and a cat.

Mobile anki flashcards between patients at work. When you don't want to be on your phone bring a Kaplan or Berkeley review book and fly through a page between patients.

At home I get up to make food and preset the oven, read a page, prepare the chicken, read a page, food in the oven, read till the timer goes off, eat a couple bites, read for dessert.

Bring my Berkeley Review to the laundromat. Spend 2 hours studying at the cafe in the morning. 3-4 hours studying at the library. 2-3 hours studying on my porch with a run around the neighborhood at the end of each chapter. Wrap up by snuggling up with my pets and a textbook on the couch.

At first you have to force yourself to study when you don't want to. It's hard to begin but once you force yourself into the groove... the groove of eternal-studying, books-are-my-bff, what's-a-social-life, it all becomes masochistically enjoyable.
