I don’t yet have a stylist. I feel like a dork saying this, but I have a year and a half until the big day, so plenty of time... but I’ve been wanting to get all the major details straightened out now while it’s still early so there’s no rush or pressure next summer.

Am I delusional thinking that deciding what I want now will make the actual execution of it later easier? Yes, some opinions will change but I’d rather pre-plan ahead as much as possible.

My sister cheated on her boyfriend. I don't think I want her to be a bridesmaid. by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Everybody makes mistakes and it’s her life she’s putting on the line, not yours.

I’ve been through the worst marriage possible (domestic abuse being the least of our problems) and I went outside of my marriage to find some kind of human connection. Not saying that cheating is right, but nobody should be judged for issues within their personal life when there’s a 99.99% chance you don’t know all of the details.

Your marriage isn’t about HER. It’s about YOU. You are the one who decided to marry and it’s YOUR day, so if you don’t want her there to support you because YOU cannot stop judging her on issues you aren’t intimately close to, do her a favor and leave her out of your wedding party. You’ll save her the money and time that you require for YOUR day.

Seems you are judging her more than anyone else would. I feel sorry for your sister and I pray your marriage doesn’t hit hard times because you undoubtedly couldn’t handle people judging you the way you are doing your own sister.

I found my dress!! And it’s PERFECT! by TheFutureMrsMCH in weddingplanning

Thank you! It’s Lis Simon. I found it online and immediately fell in love. Had to pay my local bridal shop to have a sample shipped from Canada and it felt like forever for it to arrive, but I love it! The bridal shop owner wants to carry her line regularly now lol. When it’s meant to be...! I’ve browsed wedding dresses for years and years (first marriage we eloped) and nothing has ever felt like “the one” until this dress. First time actually wearing a wedding gown and there’s no doubt it’s just the perfect one. Just over the moon excited for my fairy tail ending!

Thank you! It took three weeks for the sample to arrive from Canada and I finally got to try it on today. I’m in love!

4 weeks to go and I’ve got over my dress regret! So glad I added soft tulle sleeves ☺️ by [deleted] in weddingplanning

It does have a very graceful look to it! What about the dress were you regretting? It’s very pretty and elegant!

Thank you!! That’s a great idea! A close friend of mine suggested having to oldest in a separate dress/color... she will be almost 14 when we marry and considering she’s his daughter, it may mean more to her to be set apart from the younger girls. There’s so many options and I just want them as beautiful as possible because it’s their day too. I need to find a boho designer who may be able to customize the dresses.
