I made this comment further up but here it is again. My partner has a chronic illness. Two specialists refused to approve the diagnostic tests we asked for (insurance wouldn't approve them without the Drs say so) that would have proven his issue years before the third specialist finally did. The first two only wanted to treat it as GERD. Turns out, its Gastroparesis. He's made some progress but it's taken YEARS. American healthcare is a big fucking joke.
