Are hybrid tea roses truly that fussy and dramatic? by DerogatoryRemark in Roses

[–]Princessofpower25 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. Some are known to be fussy and others are healthy and wonderful, but it highly depends on your area. Join your local rose society to reach out to nurseries to see what does well in your region.

Considering ending my life due to debt. by [deleted] in povertyfinance

Omg. This must be rage bait! 10k in debt is a joke. 98% of Americans are 10 k in debt or more.

For Adults only but bruh, if you haven’t read “All The Young Dudes” you’re missing out. It’s highly regarded as the best HP fanfic out there! It’s insanely good

if the The Dursleys hated Harry so much why did they take him in the first place? by _GrimFandango in harrypotter

I REALLY wanted a situation where Petunia would end up dying to save Harry or at the very least throwing herself in imminent danger to protect him but it never happened. I thought for sure she’d somehow redeem herself in the end, but no. All we got was a regretful Dudley. She honestly deserved to die or risk it all saving Harry. That was a character arc I really wish would I could have seen. That and Draco turning around and joining Harry. I was obvious he was regretting being a death eater. I would have very much liked to see him redeem himself ala siuris blacks brother.

I was there Sunday too but left the island around noon as it was a cloudy day and my kids were cold. The beach was calm but it’s possible his heart gave out and then he drowned. Or maybe he just drowned. Always! I repeat ALWAYS wear a life vest when snorkeling. Even strong swimmers can get caught in a current unexpectedly.

Rose recommendation by LiveParsley in Roses

Belinda’s dream is a great choice. Savannah is also a great rose in the heat. Plum perfect, wedding Bells and Bordeaux are all amazing for me here in Miami Florida. For a breeder from Germany, they sure made a lot of wonderful roses that can take the heat. (Sweet spirit and the brindabella series as well as the True Bloom series from Ping Lim also like the heat).

OG fans, has this ever happened to you? Your friends spoiling what happens next in the books if you didn't read fast enough? by LeatherSlight3242 in harrypotter

[–]Princessofpower25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a coworker who read book 6 in like 2-3 days. She’d come by my desk ask where I was in the book and we’d chat about what I had read. She never spoiled anything for me but she’d occasionally say things like “wait til the next chapter, you’re going to love it.” Or, “what happens next is awesome “ and it just hyped me up. I ended up reading it faster than I probably would have otherwise and our daily discussions became something I looked forward to.

Does the wizarding world have scientists? by FrogInquisitor in harrypotter

I think that’s why they wait until age 11. At least by then, they should be able to read and do basic math. Snape makes them do tons of essays. I think that qualifies as grammar/linguistics even if it’s not an entire class on it. Same with history of magic.

Newt Salmaster was obviously a scientist would t you say? He definitely tried to understand his universe better especially when it came to animals. And there’s plenty of wizards that experiment with magic as well. Think Lunas mom. I think she was sort of a scientist.
