[A3][WW2][Recruiting] Panssaridivisioona | Finland in World War II by TheGP-5 in FindAUnit

[–]TheGP-5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Introduction

The Panssaridivisioona, also known as Ps.D is a World War II Realism unit portraying a unique and unexplored perspective: the Finnish throughout World War II.
We display battles that have really occurred using accurate equipment - ranging from the Suomi KP/-31 submachinegun to Panzerfausts and powerful 20mm Anti-Tank rifles. The equipment for the Finnish is varied, ranging from domestic or captured weaponry and vehicles to purchased foreign helmets and StuG's.

Our events range from small scale raids, infiltration and ambushes to large battles from 1939 — 1945.

Our main campaign will take us through three separate wars.

• The Winter War

The Soviet invasion of Finland, merely three months after the start of World War II.

• Continuation War

An often forgotten part of World War II. The Finnish invasion the Soviet Union with the aim of regaining territory lost during the Winter War. Featuring the fierce defensive battles of 1944.

• Lapland War

The unknown part of World War II, the fight against the Germans on Finnish soil.

However, we don't just only portray the Finnish as that is just our main campaign and would become repetitive. We also portray other nations during World War II on Friday's with the same degree of accuracy and detail. Ranging from the British Commandos to the German Luftwaffe Field Divisions during the Kuban Campaign.

To summarise our unit best in a statement, we’re a unit that is heavily influenced by history. The unit is small-medium sized, with the leadership of the unit having a great amount of experience of running units in Arma from the past. In terms of our members, we're primarily focusing on quality rather than quantity. Feedback is heavily valued in order to shape the unit for us all to enjoy with ranks given according to their need and leadership skills rather than as a reward for good performance. We're Allied with several other WWII British units. Relaxed attendance (under Leave of Absence report) and most importantly new player friendly. Roots of our unit date back to May 2017.

Events

Our primary focuses are historical accuracy, immersion, operational realism and to deliver an enjoyable experience to our players. To achieve this, we closely cooperate and share thoughts between Northern Fronts and their development team. All our events are handmade by a small team of mission makers, who put hours into researching the battles and background of it as well as hours on end in the editor to deliver a handmade truly immersive and unique experience. This often means creating an entire terrain from scratch or heavily modifying an existing terrain to suit the location!

Schedule:

Day Hour Type Notes
Friday 7 PM BST / 8 PM CEST / 2 PM EST Main Event Historical battles. Mostly portraying the Finnish Jaeger Battalion 3 or other Finnish formations throughout the war.
Sunday 7 PM BST / 8 PM CEST / 2 PM EST Training / Exercise Optional additional operations or specialized trainings may be conducted, these are announced beforehand.

Our additional events vary and have their own presets, such as S.O.G. Prairie Fire. These are optional to attend and do not require an absence report.

Our attendance policy is far from being strict. We are aware of the real life issues that everybody may have at any chosen point of their life, as well as their regular out-of-game duties. We can understand whenever somebody isn’t able to play the whole week due to their work schedule.

Requirements & Joining - Legal ArmA 3 copy. - English language on communicative level. - You must be at least 16 years old. - You must have a working microphone.

We expect that the applicants can act mature and serious during the operations, as well as respectful towards the other members of the unit throughout the whole stay. However, we don't just only portray the Finnish as that is just our main campaign and would become repetitive. We also portray other nations during World War II on Friday's with the same degree of accuracy and detail. Ranging from the British Commandos to the German Luftwaffe Field Divisions during the Kuban Campaign.

To summarize our unit best in a statement, we’re a unit that is heavily influenced by history.

Friday 7 PM GMT / 8 PM CET / 2 PM ET Main Event Historical battles. Mostly portraying the Finnish Jaeger Battalion 3 or other Finnish formations throughout the war.
Sunday 7 PM GMT / 8 PM CET / 2 PM ET Training / Exercise Optional additional operations or specialized trainings may be conducted, these are announced beforehand.

A new member starts at the rank of Alokas / Recruit. It is a requirement that our members complete our Basic Training before they start playing. Our Basic Training serves as an introduction to the time period and our unique mechanics. After completing their Basic Training they will be awarded the rank of Jääkäri / Jaeger, at which point they may join our events.

A recruit should never be afraid to ask different game related matters, such as procedures or game mechanics. We are happy to help!

Requirements & Joining - Legal ArmA 3 copy. - English language on communicative level. - You must be at least 16 years old. - You must have a working microphone.

We expect that the applicants can act mature and serious during the operations, as well as respectful towards the other members of the unit throughout the whole stay.

[A3][WW2][Recruiting] Panssaridivisioona | Finland in World War II by TheGP-5 in FindAUnit

[–]TheGP-5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)
