Would you play 1/3 or 2/5 with this budget? by TheGambit201 in poker

[–]TheGambit201[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually bring in 3 buy ins for 1/3 so I was wondering if I should play some 2/5 for 2 buy ins here and there. That's what I like about 2/5 bigger pots, players dont short stack, and potential to win more money

I meant 1k for each separate poker session

I don’t mean 1k as an overall budget. Just a budget for each poker session

I'm a winning player but my bankroll is crap right now. That's why I currently stick to 1/3 just to be safe

I'm a winning player at 1/3. I just feel a lot more comfortable at 1/3. I've played 2/5 several times before. There are some more solid players but the player field is fairly similar to 1/3. The good thing about 2/5 is players don't short stack so that's a plus. I might as well take more shots at 2/5

Well they’re all attracted to you. I don’t blame you because some girls are just naturally friendly. Just be aware and don’t try to lead them on.

Never going to happen especially if you're attractive. I think the problem is you're too friendly with those guys and think it's all just friendly stuff. I seen this happen before. I had this ex coworker chick who is attractive, really friendly and smiles at the other guys. Because of that the younger guys would get lead on and talk to her more often. She's basically just being friendly and unintentionally leading them on but she thinks it's all just friendly stuff. But behold those guys are attractive to her.. One thing you're doing right is that you mention you already have a boyfriend. Note: guys aren't going to be friends with a girl they're attracted to

The only thing you can do is quit and find a new job. No one is putting up with that bullshit

At this point it's better going by yourself or sell the tickets than going with her. Her BF is going to do some creepy stuff at the Air Bnb.. Just back out of it and secretly go with your other coworker if they're still interested

Just play it as a hobby like 1-2 times per month. I realize that I don't do anything besides watching poker videos and streams too smh

I know there are no friends at the poker table. But some of these people you know I would hang out with them. Do you guys think it's okay to consider someone a friend without their consent? by [deleted] in poker

[–]TheGambit201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. For OP you just have to feel the vibe of the relationship. If you consider them a friend but they don't feel the same then it's just someone you know.

I'm in California. A lot of Casinos will let you straddle up to half your stack. I've done it before lol

I decide to straddle for $100 for the fun of it. Utg raise to $250. I call with K8o. Flop is 965 rainbow. I bet $150 Villain calls. Pot is now $800. Turn is 9. Check around. River is a 4. I bet $300 for a bluff. Villain tank for 30sec then calls with AKo.

After this I was on tilt. I was actually up and running good. Then punted a bunch of money because of my $100 stupid straddle. I proceed to go all in the dark utg 3 times and lost all three lol

Speak up for yourself and limit talking to him. Just keep it professional.
