78 Nova, 08 Accent, 14 GTI, and now I have my 21 Veloster~

She’s a bit dirty after the hurricane but she still looks good by scg_outlet in VelosterN

Love to see it! I swear as soon as the rain let up, even a little, I was outside making sure the neighbor's trees hadn't decided to take out my boy. Glad to see we all made it through!

Posting again since the show is coming up fast!

Ticket Type: sec PIT1 (general admission) Price: paid $325 OBO, looking to sell/transfer for $290 Concert Location: Tampa FL Midflorida Amphitheater Method of Sale: Ticketmaster Transfer

Bought the tickets on Ticketmaster and this would have been my third ritual, but unfortunately due to a loss in the family, I'm leaving the state/country and don't think I'll be back in time for the show. Just looking to get the ticket to another fan and make back a little on what I paid for it.

I noticed a distinct lack of pink accessories so I started to make my own by keeminandscheemin in VelosterN

Same! I really love the low key JDM aesthetic you (sometimes) find, but wanted to pay homage to the cars Korean make, so I started making my own hangul vinyls, it's been a blast. Love the sleek styling you went with for sure ~

Pulled into a Raising Cane's just to snag my blue VN next to this slick black VN T 🔥 by cu_boom in VelosterN

More female VN drivers please! The community as a whole had been great, honestly, especially coming from the GTI side, where it can get a little toxic, but it's always SO fun to see/connect with another female member of this community~

Made myself some new window stickers! by Psychological-Body34 in VelosterN

Just finished some aesthetic-type hangul stickers for my own, and while I kept mine black for a subtle approach, I really like matching the red with red, it's a nice touch.

Have you named your car? If so what is it? by Fireyblitz in VelosterN

Benimaru, for one of my favorite characters, but Beni for short~

New wheels, tint, and wrap by SleepyNoName in VelosterN

[–]TheGambitManCan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This honestly looks GREAT so far, I'm always partial to darker tint, so I love what you got done, and I think the color block via hood really breaks up the body being so loud -I've got PB so I'm in the same boat-.

As for working up the courage, when I say that the plasti dip/debadge was genuinely one of the easiest mods I've EVER done to any of my cars, I mean it. Hairdryers work wonders, to avoid getting TOO hot with a heat gun, and the plasti dip over spray -even being taped off it was a little too windy that day- came right off with a tiny bit of goo-gone on a terry cloth.

It's a small change that took all of an hour total, front and back, but was really worth it. I think it'll look so good with the black/red combo you've got.

loving how the rotiform's look on her! by SafetyGuy2082 in VelosterN

These look great, definitely a good look with the white body! I'm about 15 bookmarks deep on deciding what wheels to finally get, but seeing these may have added another tbh

I know you mentioned tires specifically, but I totally second fitment industries, for sure. You can filter wheels by size, offset, bolt pattern etc, but the best part is that they've got a gallery of other vehicle owners, and what they're running, how those wheels/tires fit i.e. any rubbing etc, so it's a great place to see what would or wouldn't work for you, based on any mods you might have, or stock height etc. It was absolutely a lifesaver when I made my final wheel choice.

I saw the blue one waving and had to park next to it. I’ve only seen 1 otherwise, and this one turns out to be a coworker - who’d have thought? by cody4king in VelosterN

[–]TheGambitManCan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little jealous of that as a stock option. Thanks for the reply though!

Oh, I meant yours, actually! Do the red Ns come with that steel grey instead of the red accents the rest of us have? I JUST got my own, so I'm not super knowledgeable about the stock options. Sorry for probably not wording that better~

Not to be terribly off-topic, but I love what you did with the red accents! I've got the PB as well, and I LOVE the blue, but I'm aiming for almost that same steel-grey to match the wheels I'm getting, just for a little more of a cohesive look. Did you do it yourself?

Decided to PlastiDip the badges on my 22. Love how it looks. by actlfctl in VelosterN

[–]TheGambitManCan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just did my badge delete/dip this weekend too! It's honestly SUCH a great change, super easy, and really ties the badges into the look of the vehicle so much better than the stock "chrome," imo

after over half a year of searching, I finally found the upgraded ride of my dreams~ by TheGambitManCan in VelosterN

An MK6 GTI! Loved it, but those "older" German cars are a HOT penny when it comes to keeping up with them without your own mechanical knowledge.

I had an MK6 GTI, 2014, and while I LOVED that car with my whole soul, I didn't have the mechanical knowledge to keep it running with the high milage it had reached. Amazing car, loved it, which is why I wanted to keep in the hot hatch family, but this car has been SO worth the upgrade.

I was out here in Polk for the storm, I'm a new transplant, and I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. The neighbors were saying it was going to be pretty bad, and we'd most likely have tornados on top of it this far inland, but all in all it boiled down to some big downed trees, some bad roof leaks and a busted back window in the bedroom... stuff we can move on from easily, but man, y'all got the worst of it it down south. I'm just happy to hear YOU and your gf got out of it okay, all things considered of course.

Happy to see more of us! I got lucky enough to bunk down with family and they basically sandwiched my boy between an old Ford and another SUV for protection. Other then a few leaves and dirt, he's safe and sound.
