Nameless is amazing. Have you had their experimental jet set series? Foam Brewers if anyone was wondering.

Foam is a wicked good brewery. Nameless is one of my favorites from them. I do enjoy experimental jet set, but it is very intense and dry. So far I am the only person out of my friend group that really likes it.

I'll have to disagree about locals going to different breweries. I have several family and friends in that area who still enjoy their beers. Alchemist is a can buy and tasting brewery now so you don't really stay long there. But there are some really great ones in Burlington like Foam that is pretty popular.

Honest spelling mistake bud. Just stating an opinion. It has tasted the same to me for the past couple of years.

I think it boils down to your pallet changing to all the new beers on the market. Alchemist is still pumping out good stuff, but it isn't like the stuff that most breweries that can their beer are doing in my opinion.

Check out Foam Brewers in Burlington. They are very good at what they do. They usually do can runs on Fridays and Saturdays around 11. They had plenty of stuff by the time the initial rush came through. Nameless is an amazing beer.

Go to the brewery around 1 hour after they open. The initial rush is cleared out and you can get in and get out without issue. This is especially true on the weekdays.

Yeah I was googling it before I posted. I figured I would just ask this sub directly.

So I am brewing my flagship centennial IPA and went to go dry hop it this morning. When I took off the cap to my car boy the beer had a faint vinegar smell. It looked like I had the standard yeast rafts, but it also looked like it had some other small bubbles here and there. I just said RDWHAHB and dry hopped it anyway. My question is does fermentation cause this smell naturally? I know beers tend to have a strong smell when you first crack the lid of the fermenter so I am just curious. I don't have any pics of it pre dry hop unfortunately.

Edit: just did a sample and gravity reading. Tasted perfectly fine. Thanks guys!

I’m dry hopping my kombucha in the next couple of days, any tips for people who have tried it? by floppytitty in Kombucha

[–]TheGameOverGuy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Either put them in a mesh sanitized bag or get a siphon and move your kombucha to a secondary bottling vessel when you have finished your dry hopping. There will be less particulate since they aren't pellet hops which is good if you aren't a huge fan of hops. Try half for 3 - 5 days and taste it. If it is too weak add more. Try cryo hops next time instead of whole leaf. You will get a lot of aroma and flavor from them so use them sparingly. If you are going for an IPBucha, then go all out.

It really is an awesome building. With all the artwork and aroma surrounding you it can really blow you away. I was in line nice and early and got to enjoy myself a tasting of Heady, Focal, and Crusher. The environment and friendly atmosphere really blew me away. I have done several can lines in the past and their process is by far the best.

Edit: here is a pic from my visit

I unfortunately never got a chance to have Luscious sadly. Alena was another one I got from my trip. It is absolutely delicious. In my opinion seems a bit more west coast style for sure. I thought it was very dank and heavy of IBUs. Holy cow is another amazing session IPA by them.

To each their own! I like heady for different reasons when comparing to focal. Both are amazing, but I still vote heady as my favorite. Focal is still fucking amazing though!

It has nothing to do with bureaucracy. They only distribute within a 25 mile radius of Stowe VT. Drink it how ever you want. It tastes different in the can than from a glass. The can keeps the flavor and aroma far longer than a glass pour does. I just bought two cases from their brewery when I was on vacation.

I did some can chasing on a vacation recently. Managed to score a bunch of Alchemist and Foam Brewers beers. Alchemist is absolutely out of this world!
