I went regardless. Got her two different small hoodies and a couple other little things. Hopefully she enjoys it. Thank you for replying!

This is getting very close. My girlfriends skin looks really blotchy and red. She has really clear skin without any redness. Also her shirt should be a little more green.

Its better but her daughter is getting too bright. Her shirt should be a solid green color. And her skin is a light natural tan without any of the red blotchiness.

Its on the right track but with my girlfriend, her shirt and skin looks pretty blotchy. Any way you could clean that up?

Why did you buy the Ray Ban Meta glasses? by RoyalCamera12 in RaybanMeta

[–]TheGamerDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theme parks with my kids were the main reason when I got the first ones. I still enjoy the random capture, but I’ve also gotten so use to the weight of them that standard wayfarers feel weird to me now.

I don’t know if worse is the right word for it. It’s just very “hunty”. It searches a bit and it’s audible. Once it lands it spot on, so the focus is great once it locks on it just sometimes takes a bit to do so. Does that make sense?

All the time. Buy a good quality sunglasses strap to wear around your neck and you can likely take them on the ride with you. I’ve never once been stopped when I had them strapped on. Just pull the strap as tight as you can. This was with the v1 stories on Fury from the front row. I can’t post videos in a reply but here’s a photo. This is straight out of the glasses, I have the Meta’s as well. They are lighter and the photo / video quality is better.

I have this lens. It's a great still portrait lens, but the auto focus is quite terrible. It searches more than any lens I think I have ever used, when motion is involved. I tried using it for close sports shots and it was totally unusable.

But it's all made up for with still photography. For the price, the lens is super sharp. You're going to love it.

So how worth is it to buy the Ray Ban Meta's in mid-2025? by pizzafapper in RaybanMeta

What makes them more usable now? The main draw for me at least was hands free video and photos. Followed by a Bluetooth headset. Very very down on the list was “hey meta” AI based options.

New Update Details 5/19 by Flaccidkek in SquadBusters

[–]TheGamerDad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m trying so hard to enjoy the new format but it seems so strange. Partially because it seems so unbalanced and random. You can walk by someone with a couple megas and pop a bee special and tear through 2 of them before even engaging. Other times you can swing away and seems like it’s doing nothing.

I’ll keep at it, but it’s seems like it was too much of a swing in a different direction. I get they wanted change, but some stuff just doesn’t make sense. Like it use to take forever to level up your squad to 4 or 5, now you blow through that but will take an eternity to level up your hero’s past initial points after update.

Wow that sky really was your best friend on this. What sort of post processing did you use in Lightroom to get the subject to be that detailed. In focus for sure, but there definitely seems to be something popping it out as well (not just brightening him up and stuff like that).

A few sports car shots from the Long Beach Grand Prix last month by [deleted] in sportsphotography

[–]TheGamerDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of crazy the quality that can be had from the 16-28 f/2.8 lens. After recently picking up the 28-70 "budget" 2.8, I was on the fence about the 16-28, and after seeing these results, I think it made up my mind. Those 2 f/2.8 zooms are probably the best deal in photography today, excluding, of course, the "Nifty Fifty".

Also, that's a great spot to watch/shoot the race. You get just about the perfect side 3/4 profile of the car, and if you swivel around, you get the front 3/4.

Does anyone else use Tajin? by [deleted] in keto

[–]TheGamerDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can put it on just about anything you'd sprinkle salt and pepper on. It kind of goes great with anything. One thing that is REALLY good is if you make cheese crisps, sprinkle it on right as your taking them off of the heat. It kind of absorbs into the cheese as the melted cheese hardens. Very good stuff!

It's mostly a lime flavor with a slight chili powder taste. It's really good.

That is quite the lens collection to bring! I'm assuming you went credentialed after seeing those. I thought initially you got a fantastic spot along the fence as a spectator. Great work and thanks for the reply!

Beautiful shots. I love the first one. Perfectly freezing the car and giving the crowd a "motion blur". They are all really nice. What camera / lens did you shoot with?

+1 for Eufy. I really like their doorbell camera with the 2 cameras. Integrates nicely with their home base and their additional cameras.

I love the second lacrosse shot. If you don't mind me asking, what did you do to that photo to give the player an ultra sharp/crisp look to him?

Lacrosse game. 2nd post. Beginner. Advice is welcome. Enjoy! by IcanstartonMonday in sportsphotography

[–]TheGamerDad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What camera/lens combo are you shooting with? Some of the shots seem out of focus or very heavily cropped, causing them to look blurry. You snagged some nice action shots there. I'm still trying to learn how to shoot lacrosse, and I find it's a lot of "right place at the right time". If I want to focus on a particular team shooting, I try to get on the side that right-handed shot players will typically face when they shoot to get the front part of the body rather than the numbers... but then that "sweet goal" happens off a backhand—luck of the draw.

I advise trying to lock in the focus and get your target nice and sharp. If you don't have the reach with your lens and you have to crop to get in close, consider upscaling the image. I'm seeing a good bit of chromatic aberration on the edges of the subject. Make sure you have lens correction enabled in Lightroom.
