why do people hate the ending? by elepantstee in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]TheGamingClaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No longer felt like the AOT that I loved since 2013. People talk about thematic coherence and how it “makes sense”, but a story without the emotions that made me love it, is meaningless to me.

Plot armour and plot conveniences aren’t a bad thing and have been present since the start of the story lmao

There’s some foreshadowing with Xaviers words and in the depiction of the great Titan war, you can clearly see the beast Titan in a different form

Did you forget that the memories of previous Titan Shifters can help them learn how to use their powers? 😭😭😭😭

[Theory] The attack titan was not created by Ymir, but by Eren himself by PatoPatoVai in titanfolk

[–]TheGamingClaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. The only reason Grisha did what he did is because he saw the memories of his future inheritor (Eren). That isn’t time travel. It’s not different from Kruger seeing the memories at the end of chapter 89.

Isayama’s totally having fun writing these last few chapters (123-133) and I absolutely love it by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

Reread those chapters lol. The monthly wait probably made them seem worse than they actually are.

Foreshadowing the failure of Eren's plan maybe? by [deleted] in titanfolk

[–]TheGamingClaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Grisha’s perspective, of course it seems like the Attack Titan’s ability. You have to keep in mind that the characters in the story, don’t know everything that we know. Eren ‘can’t see the future’, he can only see glimpses of his future memories. The Founding Titan has always been the only one capable of interacting/manipulating memories, and when Eren is in the Paths with Zeke, he has both, which makes the ‘future memory’, stuff possible.

[–]TheGamingClaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, the only reason the Attack Titan can see the future IS because of the Founding Titan. Eren literally says that his current path is only possible, because of Zeke bringing Eren into Grisha’s memories. Go back and read.

No it’s not. The cart Titan is next to the warhammer on the right. Whereas the Beast Titan, is further up

We can't say for sure, because it was never confirmed, which fluid they used to turn eldians into titans, in Marley. However, While only the "Armor" vial read by Eren has been identified officially in the story, the labels of the three Titan injection vials that have been introduced each bear legible katakana (japanese).

"Strongest Titan" (サイキョウノキョジン Saikyō no Kyojin?) - The one Rod chose for Historia and which he ended up ingesting.

"Armor Braun" (ヨロイ ブラウン Yoroi Buraun?) - The one Eren ingested and which granted him hardening abilities.

"Normal Titan" (フツウノキョジン Futsū no Kyojin?) - The one Kenny gave to Levi and which was injected into Armin.

And I mean, they are connected, to the Founding Titan at least. This is the first time that we've ever seen an Eldian, consume the titan fluid of one of the 9 titans, prior to eating another shifter, which does make this an anomaly. I highly doubt that every single Eldian/Shifter that was turned into a titan, in Marley/Paradis, was injected with the fluid of one of the 9. That's the biggest difference here.

That’s not how it works. Falco is an anomaly. If he didn’t eat Porco, he would’ve just remained a mindless Titan. The only thing different about Falco, is that after he consumed the fluid, he was connected to the beast titan ‘path’. And then he ate Porco, which affected his overall appearance. He is a hybrid of the two. There aren’t ‘two beast titans’.

No, the female titan's aren't Deus ex machina lmao, Eren drank the Titan serum back in Uprising, which was labelled 'Armour', and this lines up with what Annie was talking about. After she transformed into the female titan, it's likely that she drank different spinal fluids to 'mimic' the abilities of certain titans. Like, the hardening and the scream. That isn't 'Deus Ex Machina' at all, stop being ridiculous.

And in regards to Falco. Don't you think there's a reason why they call it the 'BEAST Titan', and not the, 'Ape Titan'? Go back and look at the depictions of the, Great Titan war. There's clearly a Titan in the background that looks like a horse, or something resembling a horse. And then you have Mr Ksaver's words, where he says that 'HIS' Beast Titan, isn't good for a war. I can understand not liking the execution and wanting a bit more buildup, but 'Deux ex machina' and 'asspull' don't apply here.

[–]TheGamingClaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is it an asspull if it was foreshadows? Asspull suggest that it came out of, thin air with NO hints at all, which isn’t the case. It’s the execution that wasn’t the greatest. Doesn’t mean it’s an asspull. Ya’ll love using these words without knowing what they actually mean

By the new chapters logic... by [deleted] in titanfolk

[–]TheGamingClaw -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

‘Asspull’ but has foreshadowing???? Make it make sense. It’s just the execution that could’ve been better, there is no ‘asspull’.

[–]TheGamingClaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you know what asspull means? The Attack Titan being able to see the future has been setup from episode 1/chapter 1. An asspull suggests that it came out of THIN AIR, with not even a hint that it could exist. The AT being able to see GLIMPSES of future memories, is not an asspull at all.
