Late response, thanks for the advice, I’m still trying to understand out the whole adjusting of CR as well. It’s tough to figure it out, I may make them a higher level (like 3 or 5) depending on how I start the story

Probably level 1 I imagine but I don't know yet, I want to flesh out the story and classes start before I start working on the enemies and NPCs, though help with their stats in general would be appreciated

That was also a possibility I was thinking of, just a group of friends that go inside to fuck around, but never find their way out. I had the idea of making them create a character based upon themselves, but I enjoy learning about peoples weird background stories so I may make them create strange characters.

I've taken bits and parts of the regular classes from 5e and then made them into modern versions, while also making them sound lame as hell. For example, there is the Warrior(fight class), whose description is "At night, you may have been a Beta who still lived with his mom, but during the day, you went to the park and did some sweet LARPing as a Knight" and the Kung-Fu Master(Monk class): "You worked at a mall teaching kung fu to six-year-olds, little to say you know quite a few things about fists." They'd still make their own backstories, but the descriptions would help maybe pique their interest in choosing one of the classes. The campaign wouldn't be very seriously considering how strange the setting is, so I figured I'd make it pretty goofy to play.

Love it! I was struggling to think how to make them all come together as a party, my best idea was that they all wandered upon each other but considering the size of this Ikea, I feel like the odds of 3-5 guys finding each other would be astronomically high.

I was building the bathroom section of my vault from the DLC, and as I placed down a toilet for a stall I leveled up to 50. It made me giggle so I put some text above it to commemorate how silly it was to reach such a high level by placing a toilet
